5th Annual Fall 2011 - Tail of the Dragon GTG - Sept. 30, Oct 1 & 2
Put me down as going for now. If work doesn't get in the way and gas isn't $5/gallon, I'll be there.

I'm in!!!!!!! Two cars as Long as gas stays around four a gallon. Doc and Frank I would show up driving a Mini just to meet the two of you...LOL
Well, John...putting up with Tom driving around in a go-cart is bad enough. Don't do us any favors...lol...J/K...looking forward to it....
Buttugly and Mrs Butt (lmao) will be there. We had too much fun this past weekend not to show up! Zoom, Zoom!,,, Oops, wrong slogan.

Here is the route for the Devil's Triangle:
Ann St to Main St/E Tri County Blvd - Google Maps
Certainly not a scenic route, but definitely a drivers route.

If you find driving to North Carolina is a bit to far or you don't have enough time to make the drive
consider flying into McGhee Tyson Airport only 51 miles from the Fontana Lodge where we all stay.
Nice small airport with rental cars available.
Fly in and rent a car and drive just 51 miles to the Fontana lodge and join in on all the fun.
There are always passenger seats for you to ride in and we would love to have you.
You don't even need your Crossfire to have a great weekend at the Dragon.
Airport link: Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport

Here's a link to the Devil's Triangle website. Here's the link from the ToD website. It may be better info. Route is popular with 'crotch rocket' riders. Cruisers use it but the elevation change in the switchbacks can be difficult for the big V-twins to handle. Anymore, you'll see the ATV's on this stretch of road. Only 45 or so miles all the way around. I've been on it several times with a sport bike.
For those driving in from west of Knoxville along I-40, fairly easy to take a small diversion and drive The Devil's Triangle on your way to Fontana Lodge. Where you get on is where you get off. Not a bad deal - Devil's Triangle and ToD on your way to Fontana Lodge.
Roberta & I are looking at the calendar to see if we can work this weekend into our plans.

Since I've been to everyone since the 1st one you know I'll be there. This will be number 9 for me so count me and my wife for the fall. Possibly going to bring my son and his wife along this time but he drives a Saab 93.
