Well, after a chill in the morning. the rest of the day turned out really nice. Even went topless. Had a great time. Thanks to the out of town members for joining us.
OMG What a Blast!! The Chicago Crossfire Crews along the lake was great fun. My wife really enjoyed herself and she is now eager to join our next get together. We've made a lot of new friends that seemed like old friends from the past. Seeyou guys at the next meet...greet and eat.
Thanks guys for coming out to Chi-town for the meet up, I'm glad I got to meet many Xfire owners each with an awesome attitude.
Btw, the cars got everyone around us taking pics of us while riding around hahahaha, it was priceless. FP, I forgot to ask you where you got the little phone holder for the Xfire. Looked awesome
EDIT: where will the pics and videos be posted from the meet?

LMAO...just got home from the Chicago gtg. Great to see everone there. Kind of a primer for the Dragon...but, I hope the weather is better. Traffic sucked, The weather cleared up, but you know they call it the windy city for reason and it was windy. My niece is headed to Japan for a year, so I had to bug out early to make the tailend of her going away party. Didn't get to go downtown...but fun in all and met a few new people... So, now we are ready for the Dragon...and more XF's lined up in row...
I about forgot...I can add paddle shifters to the roadster's list of mods... Just wish I had longer fingers...lol

Crossfire Owners from Ohio , Michigan and Indiana came to Chicago for a GTG with me and some of the locals in our area.
We met out in the western suburbs and ran in a convoy together downtown.
We cruised Lake Shore Drive northbound from the Museum of Science and Industry to Montrose Harbor with a stop at the Adler Planetarium along the way.
(14 miles of Chicago's beautiful Lakefront)
We spent time at all our stops just enjoying the beautiful weather and enjoying the attention that a group of Crossfires draws.
We went to Manny's Deli for a late lunch around 3pm and after lunch most of the locals decided to head there own way rather than going out to Joliet for the Demolition night which was originally the plan.
Being a local and familiar with Chicago I stayed with the rest of the group here visiting from out of town into the evening and enjoyed our continued time together.
We went to Navy Pier where we enjoyed a sunset boat cruise out on Lake Michigan and then spent some more time just walking around on Navy pier after dark.
Then we finally returned out to the suburbs near the hotel where we started our day for a late dinner around 9pm.
Thanks to everyone who attended...we had a great day together !!!
Those of you who didn't make it... ya missed a wonderful day together.
Hope to see ya at another one sometime

Sorry I had to leave, but it was really bugging me I was going to not get to spend a little time with my niece. I have all boys, so my niece is kind of special to me. She was surprised when I walked in, so it was worth the 80-90 mph trip home to make the party before everyone left. She will be interning in Japan for the next year...so leaving this evening... So, Japan, you ricers, lol, better take good care of my niece...don't make me come over there...

Too bad she wasn't a German major...lol
Had a great time for the short time I was up there. Gary was a great host, thanks Rudy for doing the late night install, and nice seeing everyone, new and old...hope to make it back up there before the snow flies....

Rolled in around 2 pm EST after a great weekend in Chicago. Averaged 30 MPGs doing between 70-75 MPH. Love this car!
Thanks to the local Chi-towners for hosting the event. Really interesting to meet new forum members. Newbies are a good thing - Welcome!

Hey guys, what a great time Tammi and I had while visiting Chicago for the first time, and with our friends. Thanks to Howard and Gary for making this happen. Gary, Bruce, Annette, thanks for taking time out of your weekend to show us around Downtown and the Navy Pier. Sunshine turned our way for the event. We had a great time at Gary's house with Pizza and plenty of snacks and drinks.
Gary & Annette I appreciate you both for posting your photos to share. My photos coming soon.
It was fantastic to see everyone again and hope to see you all soon in a few weeks.

Thanks Gary for being such a great host.....what a wonderful time we all had ...so glad we did the Navy Pier and the boat ride...that was so perfect...loved Chicago, what a great city. I won't even comment on the Chicago taxi drivers....LOL Was so nice to see everyone again...So glad to meet the new XF members to, hope they come to the Dream Cruise next August. My family had a wonderful time and of course Sydney can't stop talking about James and Jim and the Breaker Breaker 08 she wanted to know when my next trip was!!! TJ wanted to stop at the casino for lunch and the drive into that place is like the Dragon....well almost. Everyone made it home safely. Judi (msgump)
Saturday was a great event!
Nice to finally meet a bunch of you even if you all do have Chrysler's
A lot of nice people with great attitudes makes it a "cant miss" for next time.
