Come join us for a afternoon cruise to/on the beautiful Lake Shore Drive in Chicago.
Have lunch with the group and then head back out to the suburb of Joliet,Ill for Demolition Night with a tailgate party in the FREE parking lot beginning at 4pm.

Please be sure to arrive on time with a FULL tank of gas so we can all leave for our run together on time.
We will begin our GTG by meeting at 12:00 pm at Cheddars at the corner of Rte 53 and Remington Blvd. in Bolingbrook just off I-55 and Route 53

We will then proceed onto I-55 north to Chicago and run north along Lake Shore Dr together with a turn around north of downtown Chicago and then run back southbound to Roosevelt rd where we can head west to:
Manny's Cafeteria and Delicatessen - Chicago Deli - The Best Deli in Chicago

After lunch we will cruise back on Lake Shore drive south onto I-55 south to the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill where we can tailgate by our cars beginning at 4pm ~ (Bring your folding chairs for the tailgate time)

Then at 7:15 it's showtime ~ The 2nd Annual "Racin' For *****" Ladies Team Demolition

Parking is FREE and general admission tickets for the grandstand seating are $16 for online purchases / $20 at the gate.

Also....James1549 will be coming from Ohio and found this hotel nearby to stay at on Friday and Saturday night
You might even want to reserve a room if you are traveling any distance to this GTG and make it a getaway weekend

Sounds like a great day, unfortunately I'll be up in WI.

I hope this stirs up interest in another GTG in the fall, on a weekend when I'm in town.

I found a hotel near Cheddars for a start and end destination. I am going to make reservations for Fri & Saturday night unless someone tells me otherwise. Others are welcome to join if needed.

Really glad you are coming !!
We can have dinner at Cheddar's on Friday night if ya want.
They have good food and it will be nice to hang out.
I live about 30 minutes away otherwise if ya want to see my place while in town.
