Does anyone have any info about how this young man is doing? Is he still in Asheville, or back in CHI? Is it time for more cards wishing him a speedy recovery - or simply raising his spirits? Please post if you have info - Thanks!

Jane Bridges most likely is closest to knowing this
She posted somewhere recently that he was doing better and probably going home.... to Chicago I presume.
I also want to know because I live near Chicago and would like to go and meet him and visit him for a few minutes myself

 

I took Jane’s suggestion and wrote a get well card,
it was returned a week later,
so definitely not at that particular address posted.


I sure hope that he is way better by now.

 

When last we communicated with Jane, she had mention she followed up and he was still in NC . I guess getting better, but the head injury was still pretty significant. Can only hope he is doing well.

I just got some more information on Stefan Trif: He came home to Chicago this past Monday. He will be going to some friends to continue his recovery. He is struggling, which is to be expected. I've asked if we can send some more cards; once I know the address I'll let you all know.

Received a nice "Thank You" note from Stefan today.

Valk - If and when you guys do another Chicago Lakeshore GTG, we should invite Stefan as our guest of honor since he's in Carol Stream. This would, of course, make Dr. Jane's presence mandatory. She could caravan up with Doc & Boiler.

 

Actually received a thank you card from him today. Don't have the envelope with me but will get the address later if Jane doesn't beat me to it. Apparently he is doing well at the moment, at least well enough to send a card or have someone help him with it.

 

I received a card from Stefan today. Here is his CHI address:

He did not say anything about his healing process, but indicated appreciation for all the good wishes he has received.

Trying to find a phone number for Stephan but have had no luck
I would definitely like to have him join us for the next Chicagoland meet although it will probably be in the spring now as most have stored their xfire away already.
And YES !! Jane would absolutely need to join us for this one.

 

Jane will do her best to get there. Nice to hear from them. Now that they have shared their address, I feel comfortable in saying that we send holiday greetings, letting him and Veronica know that we want to get together.

Stefan! Great to see you on the forum. My wife and I were with Jane that day. We are all so glad to see you are doing better. Hope to see you walking around sometime at the Dragon in the Fall if you ever make it down there when we are there. P.S. I bought a new car and am starting to be on another forum. However, my Crossfire Forum and friends will always be my first and foremost. I bought a Focus ST and am really enjoying it. Plan to be at Focus Fest at Gateway in July.

So glad you have recovered so well and found us here....We have been concerned about you since your accident on October 6th
I was among a group of Crossfires that passed by the scene of your accident that day shortly after it happened.
So many folks had already stopped in the road to assist with traffic and tend to your needs.
I'm local to you out here in Aurora, Ill (west of Chicago) and know the folks from this group here that were by your side that awful foggy day.

Anyway I'd like you to join some of us locals at our next Chicago meet.
Probably not until Spring now as winter most around here put these cars in storage.

As a motorcycle guy my friend, you had some pretty good guardian angels by your side that day. They are special people....hope to meet you some day when I am up in Chicago...you keep getting well and enjoy the holidays thanks to those guardian angels....like Jane....and the others

Stefan, glad to see you on the boards. I didn't personally witness the incident but I saw the worried faces that night at the lodge. Many prayers have been offered up to you, and it's a miracle to see you back 100%
