I still have one of dcjordans radios from the spring Dragon, he has the other. That should make 7, so far.

I polished the car yesterday and waxed it today. I can't wait till saturday when me and mrmiata start our new bug collections on the trip to Weatherford.

Me too. I detailed mine last Saturday. I'm sure by the time we get to Alpine they'll all need some touch-up though.

Whoa Dan, Your shine is smoking hot! Can’t wait to see it…


For the Bug Collectors coming to town ~ This works= I recently took a 1400mi round trip to Colo.. B4 I left I spread a thick layer of “Eagle One” tire shine gel on the front end, bumper, ft. of hood, mirrors etc.. When I arrived in Colo. I used a towel and easily wiped away 5lbs. of grasshopper parts and it looked like it never happened…. Hey, Just Sayin…..

Car is packed and I will meet mrmiata in about 45 min. Finally.CAA-4 begins. See all my Texas friends in Weatherford at 9am tomorrow.

CAA4 Event Itinerary

Monday: Scenic drive east on US 90 though the Del Norte Mountains to Marathon, TX, south on US 385 through the Wood Hollow Mountains, Santiago Mountains and Rosillos Mountains and through Big Bend National Park. Turn west on 170 through the Chisos Mountains to Christmas Mountain. North on 118 and climb to 6220 feet @ Elephant Mountain and then cruise back into Alpine, TX & social @ Holland Hotel.

Tuesday: Scenic drive to Fort Davis and the Mc Donald Observatory with alternate travels through the Davis Mountains.
Cruise back into Alpine, TX & social @ Holland Hotel.

Wednesday: Scenic drive west on US 90 to Marfa, TX. South on US 67 to Presidio, TX. East on 170 through Big Bend State Park to Terlingua, TX Sight see and around through Big Bend National Park.
Cruise back into Alpine, TX & social @ Holland Hotel.

Thursday: Drive to Ft. Worth, check-in to Motel 6 and gather 'round the campfire

Friday: T.B.D. Possibly go to Sundance Square, Ft. Worth Stockyards and Joe T Garcia's for dinner

Saturday:



1:00pm - meet 'n greet @ Motel 6 parking lot
3:00pm - Go to Babe's Chicken House
5:30pm - Meet in the parking lot outside the gate at Texas Motor Speedway
6:10pm - Track time!

7:30(ish) - Party @ the pool (Motel 6)

The hotel we always stay at for TMS is Motel 6, a couple blocks from the speedway. The hotel is relatively new with nice, clean rooms. They always go out of their way to accommodate us.

Looks like I have a story already. I was amazed how fast a Crossfire will will stop from 70mph to 0mph.

Made it to Keller yesterday, stopped by Texas Ts and picked up a 18" wheel and tire and 19"wheel and tire. Who says Crossfires don't have spares, (we needed one at the Dragon this spring) Going to meet Geezer in North Ft Worth in the morning a come around to Weatherford, which of the 3 McDonald's are we meeting at ???? Everyone have a safe journey. D&P
