Midwest SRT nationals 2009 on a journal bearing 50trim it ran 13.0 @125. Couldnt build booat off the line. With a ball bearing, billet wheel turbo and EC TC, I see 20psi before 2500rpms. Goal is 500whp on E85.... my engine should hold 30psi no problem but the goal is 25psi.

I've got the 1/2 mile Crossfire record and one of you better beat me! (139.23) These events are fantastic. Lots of time to meet people, see the other cars etc. Then all the BS after the first run. Watching people remove the side mirrors, wiper blades, just about everything that'll come off. Taping up the grill, seats all over the parking lot. Great cars everywhere.

Me too. Except. The cooler. I might take that out. My goal is is to break 140.

 

I encountered a slight surprise at speed. The nose of my car lifted! A Crossfire with a stock stance shouldn't suffer this phenomenon but if your lowered with little or no rake you'll be snake bit too. Drop the nose or raise the rear if you can. Be sure the belly pan is on and tight, you'll be faster with it on. BTW, I don't know about Chicago, but here in P.R. the events are at airports i.e. federal jurisdiction and they don't allow drinking, pissing on the trees etc. Good luck to all of you and for Gosh sake, take your cameras!

I googled it. It's a private air park surrounded by nice homes. But it states no alcohol. Hopefully will have all the bugs out of the car by then.

 

Jeeez! Why does Chicago have to be so far away. It sounds like alot of fun. Can't wait to hear how fast your speeds will be.

should be a fun time. I may drag a friend or two up as spectators. Need to find a place to stay nearby...Still on the Saturday drop out list, but I doubt I get moved up. So Sunday we make a run or two. But I will have to head back home...so the car will have to cool down a bit, then off we go....

Good to hear, Doc, we will be there both days spectating. I finally got a friend of mine with a highly customized LS1 powered RX-7 to sign up, he will be running Sunday as well, should see 150+ from him if everything is going well
