Suprised it happened this time with an old 1/4 miler like you.

 

That said, I think you hung pretty tight to Jake the Tunerman, all his mods, perfect tune du jour and all.

 

We took the Caddy 600 hp, the little chevy cobalt 600 hp, in the quarter, but they caught me before the half. Jake played with me the 1st run. We were at a standing start the 2nd time and that is where we were the whole half mile...got me on the whole shot, and we stayed together after that...I am liking my tune right now....car pulled the whole half mile...couldn't ask for anything better...in fact Anthony, I held to 155 on that last run...had to make the return at a 50 mph turn....lol.... I would to do a mile and I am working on that.....it was a great time....wish I could come down there and do it again....

 

They had a tree set up Jim...but it wasn't working all that well... You meet these guys while waiting in line, and want to get along...but I learned a lesson...and won't do it again...hopefully there will be another up there as they were talking about a fall run....I don't think I can take the time off to come down there....but it was fun....I liked it as much as a drag racing...maybe even a little more...lol...

 

Just think how long that motor will be screaming WOT in the mile. It has got to be a blast! I can't wait for this toe to heal or go away so I can get back to driving.

 

Doc, how did it feel when you hit 4th? I felt like the car died but 4th is where I made ground or pulled away, depending.
