Dude if I could there with ya we'll be cruising the Blvd. right now. But Illinois is a pretty long drive to Nevada. Get out there and drive her and be content that you're ONE OF A KIND! (so far)

I will be there in a couple of weeks for the SEMA Show, but my Crossfire will not! I will be in Hot Rod Alley - my booth number is 23083 (American Retro) = besides the steering wheels I make, I will have Randy Grubb's latest creation, I'd post some pictures but it's under wrap until the show.

Hi Ala-xfire,

Naw, I'm pretty much 'low-tech' I make downsized steering wheels (from 18" to 15" in diameter) for the '55-'56 Chevys, the '57 chevys, the '58 - '60 chevys and the '56 and up fords. I'm licensed with Coca-Cola too, and I make the old style picnic coolers and a Coke Machine, you can find them in Orchard Supply Stores or you can see them without the lid or compressor in Cracker Barrel Restaurants. A lot of people will use my picnic coolers for battery boxes and the Coke machines make a nice addition to any man-cave. You can see all I make at American-Retro Vintage Replicas of pedal cars, advertising clocks and retro coolers. (click on the steering wheels to see what I'm pushing at SEMA. SEMA is a great show if anyone can make it, over 30 miles of fantastic displays all for cars.

Exactly....looked it up on ebay.....the retro ones do go for more than the originals. I guess I wont be digging it out. It will no doubt make 4 generations before its tossed.
OR I'll consider even trades on a '91 Miata

Size works against you on picnic coolers, most are the standard size, the little six-pack that I make go for more. The prices on my web site are high, since I'm the manufacturer, I don't compete with my dealers. If you take a picnic cooler, take the dings out, repaint it and letter it, how much would you have in it compared to a re-creation I make. Mine are insulated better, the are made better, and lettered better than the originals. I'm not knocking the originals, I have over 300 of the upright original machines and I have no idea of how many original picnic coolers I have. But to answer your question, if you have the little six-pack cooler and if it's in good shape, you would be in the 200 to 400 dollar range depending on the condition. If it is the standard size or even larger, drop it down to 50 to 150.

Everything depends on what you have. I just sold two old soda machines, rare ones, both unrestored, one was 'as found' and the other was a basket case, but then again, these were rare machines, for $18,500. Not bad considering I had less than 2k in them.

Ater reading your post and getting all kinds of calls looking to trade for '91 Miata's, LOL I decided to dig it out. Mine is 9" wide by 18" long by 12" high. Reads Drink Coca Cola in Bottles has an opener on the side and a drain c*ck on the same side. Made by Progress Refridgerator Company Louiseville KY

Hi Sparkie,

You have the standard model, depending on it's condition, I would say 100 to 150. But if it's been in your family for some time, you might as well keep it. It will make a great ice bucket for parties.
