This will be my third Fall Dragon trip. I reserved my room yesterday. I look forward to the trip, again.

And I'm going from living 2 1/2 hours from the DRagon to living 909 miles from it.

 

and i am going from living 9 hours from the Dragon to an hour and 1/2 to the Dragon
yet we went two different directions

As I have mentioned early on, Cathy and I will not be able to attend this year. I spoke with Jim and Trish about the FRANC's OF FROAD event which they have hosted about four times on Fridays over our Fontana Lodge gatherings. They have declined to have the event this year.

I received this from them today;

Hi Franc,
Sorry to hear you won’t be coming out our way. Would be nice to see you guys, even if not at a BBQ.

I think the event BBQ has just about run it’s course. It was fun while it lasted but we’re all getting much busier these days, more rental property, new sawmill business and lots of additional obligations to take us away from having day-to-day fun. Retirement wasn’t supposed to be this much work! ��

Anyhow, I hope you and Cathy find your way out this waysometime next year. Let me know you’re coming and we’ll make sure we’re home.

Bummer, that had come to be the high point of my Fall Dragon

 

I told Jim, last year, that the main reason for coming to the annual meet was the gathering at his house. Since this is not going to be held, I will not be there. Ya'll have a good time.

 

But Wayne, I plan on being there !
