Roberta & I made it to Paducah KY w/o incident. Traffic is terrible! Too many cars! Got held up in 3 road construction sections on I-40. Cost us 2 hours in travel time. Roads are also worse than I remember. Potholes all over. Hit more than I avoided. Also hot as H here in Paducah. 96F when we got here. Only 76F back home. We'll continue our trip tomorrow - maybe! Might turn around & head for home.

ATTENTION!
THE I-40 WEST BRIDGE LEAVING MEMPHIS CROSSING THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER IS CLOSED. Plan alternate route Westbound from TN/Mississippi to Arkansas. Please share with all Crossfire attendees traveling from the SE U.S.

Then the choices are the I-55 bridge in Memphis, or 72 miles south to the US-49 bridge at Helena

Well we decided to continue on to Eureka Springs. US60 across southern MO was an outstanding roadway. Very well maintained and much less traffic. Only traffic we encountered was when we turned south on US65. Motorists heading to Lake of the Ozarks and Branson are always a lot. Anyway, we arrived in Eureka Springs w/o incident. Checked hotel early for check-in (1:30 PM). We got lucky - the room we requested was going to be ready in 15-20 minutes so Desk Clerk checked us in. Took some time to go wash the car and then came back to unload to our room. Crossfires piling in all afternoon.

For those looking for a nice place to eat Dinner w/o a lot of fanfare, we recommend Sparky's Roadhouse Cafe. Open until 9 PM. Great menu; drinks, beer & wine lists. Try the frozen Gin & Tonic - great summer drink! Ample parking behind facility. Only 5 miles east of Best Western Ozarks. Just past Main Street entrance to downtown Eureka Springs. Will be on your left.

I had a deal working to buy back our 2005 SRT6 SSB Roadster we sold 3+ years ago. So as I try to keep this a secret from my wife Joyce, she keeps saying how much she would like to have a Red Crossfire Roadster. So I searched the on the internet for RED Roadsters available. Found a few but overpriced. So as we were sitting in some chairs next to the hotel parking lot waiting on fellow Crossfires to return from the days run, as chance would have it, we looked up and a Red Roadster was rolling through the hotel parking lot with a For Sale sign in the window. He turned around in the lower lot and as he returned in front of us motioned for him to roll down his window. He did and I asked him was the For Sale sign for real? He said yes. I said you need to park that car and come talk to this woman sitting next to me. The next few days we went back and forth on the details, and negotiations on price. We drove to Springdale Arkansas and picked up the car that he gave us to drive for a day and we kept it overnight. We left our car in his garage. We came to terms by texting and phone and today we went and completed the deal. Right time, right place, it was destined to happen. It's a Blaze Red Pearlcoat Metallic Limited Roadster. Only 28k miles and perfect paint, perfect wheels and new tires. Thanks to all the Tech Guys at Tech Day for doing the problematic fixes (sticky key, trunk release, RCM fix and CPS. Now we have two Crossfires to drive home this coming weekend. And a new Crossfire for my Joycie. LIFE IS GOOD.
