Tentative Trip Route:
We will plan on spending 3-3.5 hours in Chimney Rock (including food at various eateries in Chimney Rock). Will plan to leave Chimney Rock around 2:00 PM. Drive back is along a section of Blue Ridge Parkway. We will plan for a photo shoot at Richard Balsam Overlook (highest elevation BRP motor road - 6,053 feet above sea level). Return trip, w/photo shoot, gets us back around 6:30 - 7:00 PM.

Re: Chimney Rock Park Trip - Fall ToD Crossfire Weekend
I have promoted this on all the Facebook pages, once a few days ago and again this morning.
I will be doing at least one more update, maybe in two weeks or so and will include this information. If I get any non-forum members that contact me, I will post in here and they will pay you directly.
Re: Chimney Rock Park Trip - Fall ToD Crossfire Weekend
I have been there, now I realize it. I went there on a business trip back in around 2016 when I was working on the system in Hendersonville.
That's way more than a "rock", its surreal when you get up to the top.
Re: Chimney Rock Park Trip - Fall ToD Crossfire Weekend
CRP Group Sales has graciously agreed to extend the Discounted Ticket Price for Adults to us even though less than the 15 required attendees have signed up. So if any of those attending the XFire ToD GTG this coming weekend are" riding the fence" on whether you want to participate, you can sign up either this week or at Fontana Lodge on Thursday evening & still enter CRP at the discounted adult price ($14 / adult).
Re: Chimney Rock Park Trip - Fall ToD Crossfire Weekend
If there is still room available for the Chimney Rock trip, please include Karen and Dick Schneeberger and if okay I can send our $28 now or on Thursday.
thanks,
