For those that are 'on the fence' regarding attending this event, I personally feel that this is becoming the major Crossfire GTG (Get ToGether) event for our Owners Group. And Eureka Springs, Arkansas is a really nice little town nestled in the Ozark Mountains with many interesting shops & really good eateries scattered throughout. And the roadways in the Ozark Mountains are very nice & well suited for our Crossfires. IMO

You can say ALL of that again. If a spouse is just not interested in riding around all day, the free trolley system in town makes Eureka Springs a great destination. The history and shopping there is a lot of fun. I did ALL of my Christmas shopping in 2022 in ES in one day. There are so many specialty shops there, I found something for everyone.
I missed last year, but I will be there this year. I will bring back "Mark's Mystery Tour" as well as a run down Road F and Road K. If there is interest, we can do the long, 6 hour run into central Arkansas mountains on, maybe Wednesday.
I miss living there and I miss those roads, curves, hills, forests and natural attractions. It's time!

We use the trolley system a good deal. There are different colored routes so it is easy to identify where you are going and a couple transfer points; Best thing is the trolley takes you to the top of the hill and you then have an easy walk back down-town. It stops right in front of the hotel or you can park the car at the depot just down the road on Van Buren. For a few dollars you get a full day pass that is worth the price.

Roberta & I arrived in Paducah, KY w/o any issues, other than construction zones which backed up traffic. We had a great dinner at local Rafferty's & I fueled up the Coupe for trip tomorrow to Eureka Springs. Got 27.8 MPG from Upstate SC to Paducah, KY. Speed limit was 70 from just outside Knoxville to Paducah. Ran 10% over & still got nearly 28 mpg! Performance & economy! Crossfires are truly remarkable cars!

We have about 41 Crossfires here in Arkansas to attend this event and the week has been outstanding.
Our weather has been warm and sunny.
The humidity has been relatively comfortable.
We have had several capable leaders providing enjoyable runs 120 to 200 miles each day, including a great stop for lunch
I have taken many photos and I will upload them in a link here this weekend once I get home and sort them all out but it's been a fantastic event and if this is something you haven't come to you should consider coming next year.
The event will take place in June and another thread will be created for registration a few more weeks from now.
Keep an eye out here for another post with a link to 100s of photos from this weeks event

Roberta & I got back today around 11:15 AM so we had ample time to stop & pickup Mandi, our rescue terrier, from the vet where we bordered her during the trip to Eureka Springs. Wanted to thank all on the event committee for this year's GTG. All the runs we participated in were excellent. And the private excursions we took were also great. Our thanks to zip439 for the recommendation on the winery over in Tontitown. We had a really good time over there.

Many of us enjoy running on Highway F
It has one tall peak that leaves you feeling like takeoff in an airplane when you peak at the top at a high rate of speed.
The one that I like best is here in this video at 45 seconds on the counter
The video here shows the road but until you drive it yourself ya just cant experience the thrill of it !!!
