Cool Crossfire Humidor

Ran across this article in Cigar Aficionado magazine.

http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar...2,1528,00.html

Where is mine if this is true, has anyone received one?

I've never heard of them coming with the car. Isn't a "standard option" a bit of an oxymoron? They used to be available through the Chrysler gift gallery for around $100, but there weren't any on there the last time I looked.

...if this is the one that fits into the center console, i've seen one in an XF, prior to me getting my XF...

this guy popped opened his console box (xf coupe) then popped open another lid from within, and pulled out a cigar and began discussing why i should get the XF. the humidor looked like it could hold 8 cigars...

never asked him where/why/what... i just wanted info on the xf ride.

I suspect that one mans' center console storage space is another mans' humidor. In that light...yes, mine came standard. As did yours.

XF standard humidor is located outside the center console... this "one man" presumes ?

I remember seeing them there as well, but haven't looked lately. Sooner or later, a few will probably show up on ebay.

Does this mean that you can purchase the humidor through Chrysler and install it yourself? Do you think it would be able to be put into the Coupe Base model? It is kind of James Bond-ish to have a humidor in your center console.

You used to be able to buy it from Chrysler, but they don't list it on the website anymore. It might still be available somewhere. There's no installation required. It's just a box that sits inside the center console. I don't know for sure, but I can't imagine the base model center console being any different, so I'd think it would fit fine. There is one on EBay right now if you really want one.

This is supposed to go in that arm rest in between the seats correct? Do you just put it in there, or is there a way to install it so it fits snuggly?

Many apologies I had to do it...lost one last week on Ebay. Unfortunately they are no longer available from the Chrysler Gift Catalog.

Man... I guess I won't be getting one of these until someone misspells it, or people stop selling them.

Thumbs up Re: Crossfire Humidor

Well I bagged the humidor, got a second chance bid. The winning bid was $127.50 but I guess the bidder doesn't want it anymore. The seller offered me a second chance at my last bid of $100.00, so it is now mine.
