Looking for a Limited Roadster
I'm a newbie to the site, looking to buy a Limited Roadster with automatic. Prefer new car or very low miles perfect used car. Must be yellow with vanilla interior and have auto trans. Also prefer the Nav system. Prefer a California or west coast car, but willing to transport the right one from any part of the country. I know my specs are very limited, but that's it. Please contact Howard at: hgrey@adelphia.net.
Many thanks,
Howard

Anyone know of a national resource for checking inventories?
I'd prefer to buy new, of course, but I'll take used if "perfect".
The search goes on!!
Go to Chrysler.com and check the dealers inventories...possibly you could find something there and you can make it a broad radius which helps.
One other thing you could try, go to autotrader.com and try your search there. I just did one for "yellow" crossfire and got a listing of 24 XF's, however most of them are used. Good Luck.
I have a yellow Crossfire with two-tone interior and can tell you that its an awesome car. I can tell you that in FL, I got the last yellow one back in November 2005 and found out that Chrysler is not making any yellow ones for 2006, so good luck in finding a new one this late in the year. But if you do find it, I can tell you that you'll just LOVE it, as well as the looks and comments you'll get. Not one day goes by that I don't get a comment or thumbs up from someone that admires the car.
I just talked to the dealer I bought my Crossfire from and he said they had gotten in 5 yellow roadsters when they first came out and all five sold within 10 days...needless to say it must be a popular color.
Now I'm sure I'll have lots of questions. Some may be dumb, but I won't be shy asking. My first question is this. For my old MB SLK I had a mesh wind blocker that fit around the roll hoops and helped to reduce turbulence in the cockpit. Does the XF come with one or can it be sourced through Chrysler?
Is there a different thread or forum where such questions are generally asked?
Thats it for now. Many thanks again,
Howard
Howard,
No windscreen with the car; however, there is a great lexan screen available from the dealers. It has been discussed in a number of other threads. Installed mine shortly after buying the car and love it. Really helps, especially at highway speeds.

Congrats...the anticipation is gonna be hard to deal with as the days go by.
Here is a link for the windscreen...make sure you get the Mopar product, all others are over priced and crap. This item will definitely enhance your Xfire Roadster's driving experience.

Wow, that's great you found one and practically brand new! You will love your car. I found a local place that makes the windscreen for xfires. He also sells on ebay and has excellent feedback. His base price is $72.99. You can order clear straps for $10.00 more. He offers lexan materials and they strap over the roll bars. Good price and he offers a warranty for a year and 30 day money back return. I'm going to give him a try.
Another seller is offering a similar product for $85.00 plus shipping. 100% warranty with money back plus shipping if unsatisfied. This one you use the philips screws behind the seats and attach. Good price, for sure. I am going with the local dealer so I can have it fitted right.

It's completely warrantied and has a 30 day trial period. Feedback is all positive. Lots of options on what you might want to add. I like that it can come off and on without a screw driver...
The Mopar wind Screen is designed for our cars, no tools are required to install or remove the Mopar wind screen (can actually stay mounted with the top up). You can check here for other comments on wind screens, the consensus says that all other wind screens that are out there are sub-standard to the Mopar wind screen. There have been complaints of various wind screen's (including the one that GolferGal is referring to). This wind screen WILL SHAKE and RATTLE in the wind especially at speeds over 60 mph. The fit and finish leaves a lot to be desired. The Mopar product is 100% optical clear Lexan, all tension straps, mounting channel and carry case are included @ $139.00-$145.00 plus S/H is not bad. No disrespect intended towards GolferGals purchase, but the quality on the Mopar product far exceeds any other take a look at the attached picture.

I completely understand. However, this guy is local and he has a 30 day warranty customer satisfaction and a year's warranty on the product. I live just a short drive away and also contacted several of the buyers of the Crossfire wind screen and all were happy with the quality and product. So, what the hey? If it doesn't work out, I'm going to return it. It attaches with the similar straps as the Mopar screen. No screw drivers needed and does not need to be removed with the top up. I'll let you all know how it works out.

You must be jumping out of your skin till that new car arrives. You'll absolutely love this car. There's not another car on the road at this price that'll give you as much satisfaction and attention. Enjoy your new ride and welcome to the forum.
