Hello I am a new here and was glad to come across your post. This concept of Dr. Zit annoys me. 1st of all his accent is an act. The premise of whole DR Zit thing was pathetic by insulting the intelligence of the public and its targeted audience.

No wonder they failed miserably with the crossfire. If they can not handle a national "awareness" campaign of the "merge", how can they save a little car.

I wonder if they outsource their Advertising ideas and campaigns or keep it in-house. Either way they need to change direction.

 

Hey I'm of German heritage but I get embarrassed when I see the VW commercials with the German guy in white talking. At the end he refers to Deutschland. A little over the edge for me. It took 50 years for Americans to stop thinking Germans where strict no fun take over the world people and these ads take everyone back to that stereotype.

 

Hey come on now! Dr. Z was cool. You don't see anyone from GM driving a car into a wall just to test the airbags!
But then again, Americans don't care to relate to anything German except for our cars, women and beer festivals. lol.
