Default laptop hookup

well since my store is a pilot store for apple computers i am going to get a free macbook. it's a nice 13" laptop. i was thinking about hooking it up in my crossfire. i want to intergraded into the stereo and have a good idea of what to do. i was just wondering if anybody has seen it before, have any pics of anything like this. the only thing i don't know how to find is whatever i need to mount it. any tips or suggestions?

I am confused...how are you planning on using this Macbook with your Crossfire?

I'm in the market for a MacBook. What kind of price did you get? I have an educators discount. I currently have an aluminum Powerbook. I love it! Daughter needs new computer for school. Thinking of passing this one down to her and getting the Macbook.

Sorry to hijack this thread...

i'm going to use it like an mp3 player. i am getting it for free because i am the tech manager at a circuit city that is a pilot store for apple. price is b/w $1,000 - $1,500 depending on options.

i am basically looking for a way to mount the notebook, so it doesn't slide around while i have it hooked up to the stereo. i could place it in the seat, but thats too far out of sight, and the floor is the same thing.

What a MP3 player, are you insane? Use an Ipod for something so menial. If you want to install a laptop in your car then do it for something worth while and connect it to the ODBII connection and monitor your car.

Sorry, reread your original post, my bad. I see you’re using a MAC now I understand why you’re considering using it only for an MP3 player.

Where on earth is there room in our cars for a 13" laptop to be installed, much less be mounted without compromising the integrity of the dash?
Heck, I struggled finding room for my XM receiver!

Go on eBay they have lap top mounts for sale that are used in a car. Typically a police cruiser or delivery service. I've seen them there.
