Got My Brake Pads Installed!
Found a reliable mechanic who did a great job and installed my Rotex pads. He charged me $45.00, and he inspected all the fluids, inspected the rotors and there is no squeaking.
Hopefully, the brake dust is a thing of the past, or at least most of it!

I couldn't tell a difference in performance, and I run mine hard out on my twisty back roads in the corn fields...three 90 degree turns about 1/8 mile apart and a nice 45 degree after that, then a stop sign about 1/8 mile down the road...I get no fade at all, and no dust either!

Brakes feel fine. I have yet to test the "dust" or lack thereof. I was in Vegas for the weekend and didn't drive the car until the AM, today, Monday. I will have to do a thorough inspection once I get home tonight.

yes, but it like pain, if some one sticks you in one hand with a pin and smashes your thumb on the other with a hammer, you don't feel the pin *****. Now you will notice the dust on the rear. they give off just as much dust but the fronts do most of the work so the rear dust is less. i replaced all four and haven't regretted a bit. anybody want to buy oem brake pads for 4 wheels with only 400 miles of use on them?
Yes, that is probably true, but I am not bothered by cleaning the rear as it's not a daily job by any means. The front got so bad I could barely see the rims if I didn't manually remove the black dust every few days. Haven't had to do that with the rear between washings.
Hi GG: I am in Lake Oswego and am looking for a good mechanic and eventually Rotex pads for my 06 Roadster. Can you tell me who you had work on your brakes ? Tony
Hi,
My wife has a 2005 Roadster in black and the dust is a complete pain.
Can someone please give me the part number for the front and rear Rotex pads so I can tack them down in the UK.
Cheers,
Alan.
