FP, does the etching on your windscreen bother you when looking into the rearview mirror? I know I'm going to get one, but I've been leaning towards an unetched version because of the limited rearward visibility that we already have.

It doesn't bother me at all, unless the guys in white coats are following me.

snowtop,

For what its worth, I would go with the etched version. I've had mine installed for a bit, lit and unlit I have no real issues. Don't get me wrong, its there, but you sort of look right through it. Plus I really use my side mirrors.

The etching really makes the windscreen standout, great stares when people see it.

I agree 100% with Scott. You have to use the side mirrors. Also, I get some reflections I call ghosts, which make me extra careful when I am changing lanes to the right. Every now and then when heading West into the setting sun I have gotten a few reflections from the wind screen that are annoying.

I can hear again in my right ear. That is the trade off for the slight inconvenience noted above.

I received my Wind Restrictor windscreen yesterday with 'Crossfire Roadster' etched on it. Read/looked at the instructions and it took about 10/15 minutes to install. Took 20 minutes to find my 2 screwdrivers I needed!
Liked the fact that they had even cut out the 2 square holes needed for the 2 plastic clips to be reinstalled.
Looks great when installed, no chunky velcro or straps, looks factory installed.
When the top is up the words 'Crossfire and Roadster' show up nice and clear through the rear window. Nice touch.
Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting a windscreen.

I sent you an email earlier today I think I would like to add the SRT image unlighted to the screen I asked about. Please send me the info for this with the other info.

Thanks.

Did you get the illumination, and if so, what color? Is the blue still a No-no? I am still thinking about getting one but I do like the blue...but if I'll get pulled over for impersonating a cop car, I'll have to go with a different color...I have the Aeroblue color...What color would look best in everyone's opinion?

GG, it's not really a light shining above the upper door line. It's just a reflection. I bet you'll never get stopped. If you do, just tell them you're Sgt. Pepper.
There's alway a cop that is just an a$$, but for the most part, I think cops are decent and will not stop you, unless they just want to check you out, which I wouldn't blame them.

Thanks, FP...I've been thinking about ordering one for a long time. Then I read where someone was pulled over for having the blue lights...that got me a bit spooked..then, I didn't know if I should do the upgrade to the brakelight option considering I would have to also pay for installation...and then it begins to get pricey...and I already have a good windscreen that does the job...

And...I am wondering of the fact that the roll bars are not covered if that produces more wind effect since I do have my seat a bit forward...I'm only 5'5". So many questions...so many decisions...what's a girl to do?

Arrow Re: Windscreen illumination with graphics

The light is not seen from outside of the vehicle. Only the illumination that the LEDs produce.

Light is attached to the bottom of the windscreen and is transferred up into the graphics (laser etching) only...

Any questions feel free to give us a call...

GG - I've had my lighted blue windscreen for over a year and never had a problem. I've even stopped and asked about it and was told It does not give off enough light to be a problem.

Lightbulb Re: Windscreen

If someone got pulled over with one of our products on their car they would probably be doing it just to get a better look at your beautiful roadster. This is no joke.

We have never had a confirmed case of someone being sited for a faint illumination. It's attached to the INSIDE of the cabin area. Keep in mind we have sold over a thousand for 5 different cars.
