Can I switch on the Air-Con with the Top down?
hi guys,
was wondering if we can switch on the air-conditioning while having the top down... will this affect the air-con system in the long run? i do get some kind of condensation after a while.
i know its a funny qns to ask but i am from singapore and it can get pretty humid here. average temperature is 32 degree celsius! unlike you guys, we don't get cool breeze here. its nice to drive with the aircon on while you still get a bit of the sun and wind...
btw, i think there are only 3 crossfire roadster here in singapore.
cheers,
eddy

We are in Las Vegas, Nevada and I can tell you without question that you can run the AC any way you want. When it is really hot it is a no brainer, top up...but there are times when it feels good with the top down and you have the AC going...like at a red light.
Go ahead, run your AC when you want.

I live in Florida and tend to have the AC directed to my feet and close the vents up top in order to force all the air down. I drive around with the top down more then up and so far nothing negative has happened.
And nice to hear that someone is 'special' over there with having only 3 Crossfires! Sweet... enjoy, be safe and stay cool!

You can run the AC with the top down, to stop condensation from building up in the AC ducts just hit the recirculating button. When you shut your car off hit the button, the recirculating feature will run the AC for 15 minutes and this will rid the system of any condensation, and you will also avoid the mildew smell that might arise. This feature will also work with the heater in the winter.
