Default another new owner of a LTD roadster

I've been looking at Crossfires for probably at least the past 3 months since I sold my last car, a '97 Honda Prelude. Basically I liked that car because it wasn't the most common car and had plenty of power. I started a new job at Verizon Wireless and needed to look a little more professional than driving a modified Honda, so now I have a new baby.

I bought an '05 charcoal grey LTD Xfire roadster last week with 12,000 miles on it for $22,000 from a local owner. It still has the warranty, no modifications on it yet, just stock sexy.

So there's my story. New owner, looking forward to learning more about the car. I'm probably one of the youngest people here and don't know a whole lot about cars but I am enjoying the ride.

I've got graphite gray also with black leather, I think I like your two tone seats better than the black leather. Welcome to the forum.

Ti-X, Congrats & Welcome.
I think you'll be happy with your Crossfire.
I too had a '97 Prelude up until a year ago when I traded it on an '05 4Runner.
Bought my Crossfire as a summer/weekend toy and enjoy it immensely.

Welcome aboard. Congrats on your new wheels, and I love the color.

Great group of people here with a lot of knowledge they love to share.

Good luck and enjoy.

Yeah I'm really enjoying it. I was looking at an alabaster white convertible with black leather but the dealership was wanting $26k + taxes/fees. So I got this one for $22k from a private seller.

I was thinking I'll just leave it stock, but after looking around a little, it seems there are a few more things than just the borla exhaust. I'm really interested in that sprint booster, but last I heard from searching the forum is that the overseas distributor possibly isn't selling it anymore? or did I read it wrong?

I hate what I'm doing to my car right now. I am driving about 70 miles a day from home to school to work. My car had 12,000 miles when i bought it last monday, it already has 12,700 a week and a half later. Its a blast to drive, but until I move this summer, those miles are adding up. Is there anything I could do to get better gas mileage? All my miles are highway at 55-70 mph.

Thanks for the comments.

Use the cruise control if you want better gas mileage.

For better mileage try pushing a little less with the right foot!!
