Default Lambo/Diablo doors

Found someone in Miami. Florida that will install the 90 degree Diablo doors including parts/kit for $1,500. This is bolt-on w/o welding. Two 150 pound hydo. He wants to change to one @ 150 lb and 90 lb on the second because the doors are very light. I told him to keep the 150 lb on both. I want to move them up with my finger.

He had three other cars/trucks that he was putting the diablo doors on yesterday. There will probably be a little bounce/wobble in them, but I'm hoping it will be minimal.

I dropped off the car in the afternoon and it should be done today or Monday. If I like it on AMA's, I'll put them on mine.

Yea, yea, yea I'll take pictures when its done. I'll even try to put a small video clip on the xfire site.

I spoke with my dealer who called Chrysler warranty. They said only the wiring warranty to the doors would be voided.

Cool Re: Lambo/Diablo doors

Was told something totally different by DChrysler Warranty when I inquired about lambo doors. That the warranty would be voided for any electrical systems in the doors and more importantly also the side airbags, and also any leaks that may arise and cause damage in the doors and elsewhere in the car.

Umm. Diablo doesn't make a bolt on for Crossfires. They are weld ons. Look on Diablo's site, they only offer bolt ons for like 2 cars (Corvettes). http://www.gtfactory.jp/diablo.htm

Here's a link ot the official GT Factory maker of Diablo's. That link will take you to the diablo model, then you can click on bolt on up top and see they don't offer it for Crossfire.

Dont be fooled, they will be weld-on, and alot of people say they aren't as good. Also I hope they do a good job re-painting the area where they have to grind down to bare metal to weld.

Also if you are sure you want Diablo's. Don't buy from their manufacturers site, they sell for $999 on there. But i found this site with $100 off.

I think you are probably correct that the doors could be used as an excuse not to fix something. I'm not anticipating any leaks or changes in how the door seals when shut on the roadster. I was told that if the window motor breaks down because of a mechanical issue that it would be taken care of under warranty, but any electrical components that involved the wiring would be null and void under the warranty. Such is life.

Agreed with what you said about the warranty. My aftermarket warranty people said the same thing. But they still can argue the motor blew up because you cut the wires.

The installer said he could spot weld the door connection to eliminate or minimize the wobble effect. Just spoke him and Gvfactory had yet delivered the hinges. AHHHG. Probably will wait till Monday.

GL. Who told you they were bolt on? If you checked the GT site you can see there is no bolt ons. Either way i hope he does a good job. Like i said the cheapest you can get the hinges for ar $799. That only leaves $700 for his labor. That's pretty damn cheap, considering it can take hours just at adjust it perfectly.

There is no bolt on system, however the weld on kit is popular for that car.
The shocks that come with the kit are sufficient. You can also consider the
gullwing system for a fresh style.(THIS WAS THE EMAIL RETURNED FROM THE GT FACTORY RE: MY BOLT ON QUESTION)

Thought the gull wing should be hinged at the top. Interesting how it swings up on a pivot to the front.

I am interested in the Diablo doors because I have been stuck in parking places that were too close and couldn't get the door open enough to get my feet in at the front of the seat because the long door could not open enough.
