A must for Crossfire Roadster
I've installed a Backup Camera.
Bought the wireless unit from Costco for $100 Can.
Modified it to my preference.
Decided that since I naturally turn my head to the right before backing up, it was logical to have verification in the viewer at the same time. And I didn't want to obstruct my forward view, or distract from out stylish interior.
The camera is mounted to the lower side of the license plate so as to not interfere with the trunk latch opener.
I rewired inside the LCD viewer because I object to any excess visible wires.
Normally wiring is into the backup lights. I decided that since the viewer is not visible in the rearview mirror, I would have it on always, and use it as an assist for changing lanes. I wired into the side marker lamp. Mine go on with starting the car.
I'm very pleased.
I'll answer any questions.

Hum, looks good, but I think i would like it in front if i got one. Not that i ever would, but i don't think i would want to turn my head to the far right just to look at it, seems more dangerous since you have to have your head turned more than usual for longer, and focus your eyes lower.

I've heard that people who have the viewer up front find it necessary to adjust the thought process of looking forward to back up. But I'm sure they do get used to it.
I like what you have done. Rear view cameras work great in motor homes they have reversed images. I am really going to consider what you have done.

Yes, visibility is better with the top down. But sitting so low in the car, you still can't see if a small child, cat, dog, have moved behind there, while you were waiting or sitting in the car. If your just getting into the car, its obvious you would check behind or in front, before you move the car.

At 8 feet behind the car, the total view width is 10 feet (5 each side).
Therefore total view width is more than 60 degree.
