GAS Mileage!
I went on a road trip to San Antonio, Saturday. I drove the 1,050 miles straight. On the second tank of gas I noticed I was getting excellent mileage doing 75-85 mph (about 3K RPM). I was at 250 miles just before the 1/2 tank mark. I toyed with the idea to see if I could get 500 out of the tank. I chickened out at 445 miles to the tank. All in all I found out that the more I drove the better the gas mileage, at least on the interstate. I hope this helps out anyone out there thinking of using their crossfire for a road trip.
i'm also seeing about 27 mpg, driving back and forth to work, but i don't just stick to 60-65. i feel that i can hit the magical 30 mpg on straight high way travel. i can't do much stop and go running without getting heavy footed.
Burned off my 1st tank two weeks ago, from full to the warning light was 532 km, (532 -/ 1.6 ) = 333 miles, divided by 14 (allowing for reserve) = 23 mpg.
I have been GIVING it.
I have been GIVING it.

I guess I had better get my car tuned or keep my foot off of the accelerator. I'm lucky if I get 20 mpg.
I will check the other crossfire this week.

I only have 500 miles on my xfire and just calculated the MPG @ 19 (17 mile stop and go commute). I was happy with the 19 MPG as compared to the 9.5 MPG I get with my H2! I was a bit disappointed as I was hoping to get around 25. Maybe the MPG will get better as the engine breaks in.

Right now we're in Summer blend fuel season, it just started about a month ago. I was getting 22 max. MPG last month, now it's just barely making 18 mpg.
I did replace my air filters and no change either. If you could bolt on some lighter weight rims that could help your fuel cost over the lifetime of the car.

I keep a maintenance log that includes mileage, computed the old fashioned way (miles driven/gallons). Over 22k miles, mostly highway driving between Holland and Detroit or Midland, I average 27 mpg at 70-80 mph. I once achieved 31 mpg when I drove to Midland at 55-65 mph. Another time, coming back from Detroit with a government car acting as bear-bait, I drove 80-90 (hitting 100+ a couple times) and still got 25-26 mpg. Best on a tank of gas was a little over 400 miles on a round trip to Detroit.
I have the 6-speed, start coasting when a light turns red ahead of me, and generally shift at lower rpms (under 2,500). I have the bad habit of driving fast rather than accelerating fast.
Even around town I get over 20 mpg.
