Dealership called me today
Dealership called me today
I didn't answer the phone and don't know exactly what was said..but my husband received a call from the dealership asking me if I would trade in my Crossfire as they are in desperate need for a Crossfire on their lot and would make me a great deal...and there is a real shortage of these cars and a lot of demand...so, what to make of this? My husband said I was not interested at this time...do you think this is a scam to get me on the lot? I have never received a call like that and I've owned a lot of cars...
I have seen so few Crossfires in the Seattle area...and now this convinces me that my car is truly unique and a keeper...However, everyone has a price...and I am curious what you all think about this call...is this unusual?

Re: Dealership called me today
I received a letter in the mail a few weeks after I purchased my Crossfire from my dealer basically saying the same thing that your dealer told you over the phone. Made no sense to me. They were going to "offer me top dollar" to trade in a car I bought from them because they "needed" my car to meet demand? I figured the marketing department and the sales department don't talk much.
Re: Dealership called me today
I am a car salesman in PA. What you got is a good old "MUD" call. or dealerships will sometimes send out "MUD" flyers in the mail. These are bs. Don't be fooled. A computer program sets up the calls and the flyers. All a salesman has to do is get the email with your number in his in box and he calls. Keep your car...
