Daytime Running Lights
In reading my owner's manual, it talks about "daytime running lights". On my vehicle the lights only go on when I manually turn the switch. The dealer has represents that it is possible, with the aid of their computer, to determine and possibly re-program the lighting system to cause the lights to go on automatically whenever the vehicle is operating. Does anyone have any experience with this issue???
I have a 2004 coupe and it does not have auto daytime running lights. Lights are controlled manually only. The only auto feature is the lights stay on 30 seconds after the door is closed with the engine off at night to allow you to see your way in the dark.
I live in Canada and when I start my Crossfire the front and back park lights come on along with the side running lights. When I release my hand brake the daytime running lights come on in low beam mode.
Most cars sold in Canada only have the daytime running lights and do not turn on the side running lights and the park lights. The advantage of having these extra lights on is at dusk or dawn when you are harder to see.
