Top care and windscreen
1. I live in FL = heat and sun
2. What is the best product for taking care of the top?
3. I found the MOPAR windscreen for $152. What is the best windscreen? How well does it really work?
thanks,

Probably the most popular cloth top care products are the cleaner and protectant from Ragg Topp. But for less money you can get basically the same thing using Meguiar's Canvas Cleaner and Canvas Protectant from their Marine Line.
Ragg Topp products can be found at http://www.superiorcarcare.net/raggt...FRsTawod7wtS9w
Meguiar's Marine Line (and all other Meguiar's products) can be found at http://www.autodetailingsolutions.com/Meguiar's%20Marine%20Care.htm

I have a KingPenn wind screen on my Limited Roadster. It makes a huge difference, but still lets air blow down the back of your neck. Probably not enough to make a difference to you in Florida, but for chilly fall cruising in northern New England, I might not pick that one again. Don't get me wrong, it is a very nice product, installs in about 15 minutes (non-illuminated), and looks great. I have read in other threads that there is one which extends into the roadster bars that blocks more wind.
Thanks for your inputs. On other threads i saw a lot of discussion about what people liked about windscreens, but not a lot of info on how well they work. Thanks for giving you experiences on how well the various units perform.
Imade my own from smoked Lucite which covers the area behind the rollbars. I would say it blocks ~ 40% of the wind below 60 MPH. Faster than that, it doesn't seem effective at all. It also seems that the spoiler deploying causes more "backwash". My wife, who said "Get something!" says it's better.
Hope this helps.

That interesting, being a new Crossfire owner i forgot about the spoiler deploying. That would create an updraft which could round air back onto the passenger. Thanks for your insights!
I have used the Chrysler windscreen for two summers. It stops a lot of the wind, not all, and is more effective with the windows up. The lighted one is more stylish. These are available for around $118 + shipping on various sites. Do a google search.
"303" Fabric Guard, Fabric Cleaner - excellent!!

We have tried both size windscreens and although the small one looks better IMO the larger one works better. We run the one that covers the hoops now. Otherwise it's wind through the hoops on your neck.

There's nothing more pleasant than a Sunday afternoon drive when I can't hear the Mrs rant at me - between the wind noise and my high-pitched hearing going. So we just enjoy each others company, quietly.
Yeah, MI has spectacular weather. Suggest you toss a couple sweatshirts in the boot for when it gets colder. You'll find the windscreen helps only a little, and then when the windows are up. But the whole purpose of having a convertible is to enjoy the elements - I find that rain comes directly back along the driver window, then up and over into the car. Makes driving in a sudden thunderstorm an adventure. Sometimes it's just not worth stopping to put the top up when you know you'll be back in the sunshine in 2-3 miles. And somedays you get douched.
