Default warning light

Ok so its not the warning light but while i'm driving I hear a beep and then my tripodometer puts an oil symbol and says HI, is this my oil pan being friendly or what. I checked my oil and its fine, I watched them change it so I know they put the right type in. This freaks me out every time it happens and I pull over till it goes off

That means they put too much oil in. The capacity is 8.5 quarts but they probably put in all of 9 quarts. The car is capable of showing the oil level by pushing the trip reset button twice. Do a search for FSS......

for sure and i checked that but it said it was fine and its been a month or two but i'm sure i watched them put the 8.5 in it because they had to pour from the bottle and there was half a bottle left

Cool Re: warning light

As stated....the tech put in to much oil or there might be a problem with the FSS.

Maybe they did not drain all the old oil out before they put the 8.5 quarts in. But an easy check is to verify with the dipstick.....if the dipstick does not show too much oil then the sending unit(?) might be no good. In that case you can ignore it until the next dealer visit or have them check it out when you have time if it bothers you that much, assuming it is still under warranty.
