Where to attach Mercedes Emblem?
Re: Where to attach Mercedes Emblem?
Am I the only one who thinks that the Powered by Mercedes Benz emblem is just to big for our cars?
I mean I like it, but after all it was designed for a huge truck wasn't it?
I just think it's the wrong "scale" for the Crossfire that's all.
Under the hood, under the spoiler, and inside the door step plates looks best to me, until somebody comes up with a smaller version of it.

Re: Where to attach Mercedes Emblem?
I just installed my Powered by Mercedes emblems and although I know some don't care for them but I think mine turned out quite well on a black Crossfire. ( see pics below) For those of you that are considering putting them on, a word of caution. I used dish detergent to de-wax the area and also used rubbing alchohol to prep the area. I placed the drivers side emblem where I thought it was straight and I could see as soon as it was down it was off about an 1/8" from level. I'll tell you, when that baby is down on the surface you are not going to budge it. I had to heat it with a hairdryer and even then I destroyed the emblem getting it off. I had a spare so I was more carefull the second time.
When installing, grab the ends and tip the top of the emblem towards you at a 45 degree angle and touch the emblem to the surface, if its off you can at least move it. If it's in the right location rotate the top down to the surface.
I also at the same time installed Dan's black wheels centers and this went very well using Dan's instructions.

I found that attaching to my forehead with number 4 finishing nails works well but now I have a terrible headache and I think I will go lay down for a while. Thanks for the forehead location tip.
