Am I the only one who thinks that the Powered by Mercedes Benz emblem is just to big for our cars?
I mean I like it, but after all it was designed for a huge truck wasn't it?
I just think it's the wrong "scale" for the Crossfire that's all.
Under the hood, under the spoiler, and inside the door step plates looks best to me, until somebody comes up with a smaller version of it.

Try opening your hood once in awhile, and you might see the logo still applies.

I have to concur with your thoughts about the "scale" being wrong. It works fine under the hood, but not so great on the exterior of the car IMHO.

I'm hoping that the black emblem on my black Crossfire will help scale down the look. If not I won't use it. I usually like the minimal approach. Too much extra bling and you might need a Whirlitzer Juke Box emblem. And yeah, it's not a Mercedes but it really is, like it say's " Powered by Mercedes." But any above comments are well taken constructive criticism.

Will you please tell the people who change my oil that this is just a Chrysler? They charge me as if it were a Mercedes!

I don't understand all the hubbub about "Powered by Mercedes" emblems. With all the modifications listed on folks profiles, it would seem like a couple of emblems stuck somewhere would be a non-issue.

Good point. In about five years there won't be two existing Xfires that are alike...lol

After months of research it has been proven that the best place to attach
the Mercedes emblem is on the "LAMEB solenoid" for maximun effect!

Go forth!

LAMEB: Look at me ego booster.

I purchased mine on ebay. I later found out that you can also buy them @ the Freightliner dealer. Larger trucks come with Mercedes engines.

I just installed my Powered by Mercedes emblems and although I know some don't care for them but I think mine turned out quite well on a black Crossfire. ( see pics below) For those of you that are considering putting them on, a word of caution. I used dish detergent to de-wax the area and also used rubbing alchohol to prep the area. I placed the drivers side emblem where I thought it was straight and I could see as soon as it was down it was off about an 1/8" from level. I'll tell you, when that baby is down on the surface you are not going to budge it. I had to heat it with a hairdryer and even then I destroyed the emblem getting it off. I had a spare so I was more carefull the second time.

When installing, grab the ends and tip the top of the emblem towards you at a 45 degree angle and touch the emblem to the surface, if its off you can at least move it. If it's in the right location rotate the top down to the surface.

I also at the same time installed Dan's black wheels centers and this went very well using Dan's instructions.

I tried to attach my emblem to my forehead as suggested but it kept coming off. It must be that the natural oil in the skin keeps it from sticking.

I found that attaching to my forehead with number 4 finishing nails works well but now I have a terrible headache and I think I will go lay down for a while. Thanks for the forehead location tip.
