Windshield Surround/Molding Gone
You may want to check the top piece of molding that fits above your windshield to make sure it is secure.
I was driving about 70mph with my top down yesterday and the molding went sailing over the top of the car. I felt some wind buffeting before the molding came loose, but as I couldn't physically see the molding I had no idea it was coming loose. The wind was blowing pretty hard, so I attributed the buffeting to that.
I stopped by my local dealer this morning and they ordered the part. The new molding will be in tomorrow and the dealer will install when I get the car back to them. BTW, the fix is covered by warranty and there will be no charge.
I wonder how many moldings have come loose like mine did?

I have been using DeMontrond in Conroe. We will see how smooth this warranty work goes, but I expect them to do a good job.
I can tell you that the oil changes are out of sight...over $150.00.

I know that Spring has sold a number of Crossfires, so they ought to cultivate the owners and treat them right for future maintenance needs.

[quote=CrossfireRSSS]FYI changing the oil in a crossfire is super easy. I do all of my own cars, even the wife's BMW, I find the oil filter on the top of the engine (i.e. crossfire & bmw) makes it super easy, just make sure and replace the O rings along with the filter. The harder cars are our Magnum (mainly due to cover underneath has to be removed and installed) my dodge stealth, just cause its so low, etc. DYI!!! It's not hard and save a lot of $$$.

I used to change oil in all of my cars. But, with the XFire, I want a record at the dealer that all maint. has been performed as required and there is never a reason to quibble over warranty work if push comes to shove.
