Default Mesh Wind Restrictor Photos Here

I have had several requests to see photos of my wind restrictor from http://tuningshop.co.uk. I know some have and like the clear plastic restrictors. But I love the look and function of the cloth mesh. It’s very easy to install too. Here are the photos:

I can't see the pics here, but I saw them in the gallery. I have the clear one and like it a lot, but I think I like yours as much. It looks very nice.

Thanks FP. I can't see the photos in the message either. What could be the problem? I used the "insert image" button and inserted the link to the photo in my gallery.

Was the mesh screen hard to install? Is it easy to remove if you don't want to leave it up? What does it cost, and where did you buy yours?

Bob

It's very easy to install. Just back out the screws of the umbrella holders, slide in the metal holder and tighten the screws. You can remove it by unscrewing ***** by hand. But, I don't why someone would want to do that...that is unless you're concerned about some stealing it.

The only place I know to purchase it is the http://tuningshop.co.uk website. Cost is about $400 including shipping. At least that was the cost mid-December 2007.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I couldn't decide which one to go with and your pics helped to make my decision. The fiber mesh looks great.

It's a very sturdy metal frame with a leather cover that has a bit of padding.

How effective is it in keeping the hair from blowing all over?

Can it be easily removed when not in use? Cost? Will it fit in the trunk?

Bob

Bob, see my reply to your earlier post. Cost is approx. $400 w/ ship.

I haven't tried to put it in the trunk. It may fit with the top up. But not with the top down.

FP-
Do you have any pictures of your clear one? I looked in your gallery and I see a lot of nice pictures of Danica, but can't find one of the windscreen haha

I have a picture of my clear Windrestricor in my sig, but to be honest. I like the look of the mesh screen better. It looks like it belongs with the car more than the clear one does.
InFernoRed - Can you leave the mesh screen in place with the top up?

Yes you can. I haven't taken it off since I installed it three months ago.

When you have the light off, is the lettering still very bright and noticable or does it look clear?

The mesh looks great...it is made in Germany I believe...do a worldwide search for "Windschott Chrysler Crossfire"...two or three will pop up...reasonably priced but shipping has got to be a killer.

With the lights off it is still noticeable, but not distracting.
