No lady you pulled forward until you hit my car, thanks!


Like all owners I park in spaces I know I can’t get dinged on the right or left, never thought I had to worry about getting hit from the front! The parking block in the picture is mine shows you how far away I was parked. The F250 wheelbase was wider then the blocks so she drove right over hers and into my car. WHY?!

The damage is $450+ to repair and repaint the bumper. The lady wants to go through insurance which means my car will have a Carfax history. The question is do I let her insurance pay for it and put a history on my car or do I try and buff out the scratches and touch them up myself?

 

Eh, make her fix it c/o insurance.
I had a F250 do the same thing to my Accord at Sam's Club a while back. Busted my bumper all to heck. I park far away as well.

 

let her insurance pay for it. it will not show up on carfax.

 

Really pisses you off doesn't it!

I'd make her insurance pay for it......maybe when her rates go up she'll learn to be a little more responsible in a parking lot.

BTW....that's a funny looking F-250?

 

Ask anyone who drives one of these huge pickups/SUVs what they like about them and they'll all say "I sit up so high and have a great view of everything!". Seems contrary to all the ones I see rear ending people on the freeways around here though. Apparently the same goes for idiots in parking lots.

I rented an F150 recently and found that I had a great view of everything except anything about a meter from the sides and about 6 feet from the front bumper! If I had small kids and owned a huge truck, I don't think I could sleep at night. There's no way I could see a rugrat playing next to the car.

 

Make HER pay for it! Gads, some folks are just stupid when it come to parking ~ and ~ by the way ~ what about the "emotion damage/trama to you" she has cause? Did she not admit her fault? Curb vs Crossfire ~ guess who wins!

 

I knew I should have written "Big Truck" instead of guessing what kind it was. Police report says Ram 2500 for all you truck guys out there. Sorry for my error, I know confusing Dodge with Ford is considered a capital crime too many brand loyalists.

I spoke with an insurance agent today who asked me how I could know for sure their truck caused the damage to my car, since no one witnessed the accident?! After telling the agent I have pictures of the parked truck pushing down on my bumper and against my grill, they then proceeded to tell me they would be taking care of everything, including rental car. Got to love camera phones!

 

Yep, make her pay for it, and repair that expensive air-intake from TVT which was on the car and is now broken. The HID lights need replacing, that billet grill etc. etc.

 

Let her pay for it however she wants...after you slap her up side the head!

I bet she was talking on her cell phone while she was parking too!

 

I don't know if it's the $500 bucks that shows up on the carfax or the insurance co. But just take pictures and let them pay for it !

 

When I was hit and the other person's insurance paid for it, my car had an Accident Report on CarFax. What's worse is that you cannot see what kind of damage was done, it only says it was in an accident.

SORRY for the dumbass that can't park .. did the police give her a fine for destruction of private property or parking viloations..
