Strap on rear of seat.
How dumb is this? Had the car 2 months Grey 08 Roadster, I just noticed that there is a leather strap abount 4 inches long and a 1/2 inch wide with snaps on each end on the back of the passenger seat. Does anyone know what it is for?

Route the child restraint tether directly over the top of the seat, through the strap near the top of the seat back, and attach the hook to the anchor bar.

That may be the official use but it's worked well for me to hang clothing, i.e. blazer, or dry cleaning. As long as the passenger seat is either empty or occupied by someone short enough to leave ample space behind the seat.
