Default Regarding the XF trunk light - where's it's on/off switch?

I've looked hi and low and I can find no switch or button in the area of the trunk lid lip. How is the 12vdc applied and then removed from the lamp that lives in the trunk space? There is no mention of it in the user manual at all. In fact the bulb is not even mentioned. That lamp and its function is completely ignored.

Anyone know?

That's not a trunk light - it's your license plate light. It comes on when you turn on your lights.

There's a trunk light in the roadster. You turn it off by leaving your trunk lid ajar for two days until the battery dies.

the switch that turns it on and off when you open the trunk is made into the latch you cant see it however if you dont want it to come on when you open the trunk turn your dome light off inside the car and that will keep the trunk light from coming on hope this helps.....

That's what I wanted to know. So there is a switch inside
the latch. I will go out with my flashlight and try to see if
I can see it in there. Thanks so much, you don't
happen to have anything on the wiring
of that latch do you? It's pretty slim pickings on electrical drawings
for my BatMobile not that I really need it, but I always like to
understand how my stuff works...Thanks again mate...

and thanks for the other suggestions especially turning off the
light by leaving the trunk open...Gud un mate! HAAAA!
