Smile Hello from Caught in a Xfire!

Hi. I'm new to the forum and would like to say "Hello" to everybody. I've been visiting the forum as a guest for two years now, which is how long I've had my 2005 Aeroblue Roadster. I love my car. I've only done the minimal number of modifications on it, like painted calipers, K&N air filters, a new head unit, a rear fascia trim, coco mats that match my vanilla and slate interior, and I removed and painted my center console aero blue to match the car, which looks brilliant. My wife is typing this and just found out about the rear fascia trim; boy, was she surprised! My wife loves the car too, it's her second baby, next to our dog. I don't think I'll do alot more to the car, I want to keep it as close to stock as possible. But the painted interior really does look sweet. The weather is finally getting nicer here in NJ but we've been out even in the middle of winter on the nice days with the top down. We can't wait for summer to really start enjoying our car. When I bought the car it only had 3000 miles on it, and 2 years left on the warranty. I could have gotten a Corvette, or something comparable, but we love the look and styling of this unique car. Well that's all for right now. Happy to have joined the forum and as a guest I have learned so much about the car, it's a very informative forum. See ya. Caught in a Xfire.

Welcome aboard! There is plenty of great info on here as you already know. There are a lot of folks here at that do get togethers with other XF owners. I haven't found an XF owner that I haven't liked yet.

Hi Ya. In response to the question as to why I hadn't joined earlier, I tried to but for some reason I couldn't get registered so I left it and just now tried again. I really enjoy this forum and I'm glad it worked this time. What is the CICCI? Let's face it; if it took me 2 yrs to join the forum how long do you think it will take me to join something else! 5? Anyway, yeah, anything about the Xfire interests me. As for the shows, I'll have to see about the dates and where they are. Would love to get together with other owners. If I'm slow to respond to anybody, it's b/c my wife does the typing and sometimes she's not so cooperative. One thing I did want to mention, was the nightmare stories of some people who have gone to their Chrysler dealers to have work done and been refused, even stuff under warranty. I go to Hamilton (NJ) Chrysler, and they are great. So far, I've had both headlight units replaced, a new radio put in (which I later replaced), the chrome door handle on the passenger side replaced, the valve cover and gasket replaced, passenger window button replaced and a new rear wheel and all of the lug nut covers replaced. They never question or argue about any of the items I show them, they just order the parts and schedule me to come in. No bill ever. The mechanic there is Chris, and he's great. Unfortunately, my warranty is up in June. And then the expenses begin. I just don't understand a Chrysler dealership can refuse a customer service, when the car is under warranty. Outrageous! Well anyway, those are just a few thoughts I had, hope everyone is okay today, and your cars, too. See Ya. Caught in a Xfire.
