As funny as this thread is.....I'm gonna go out there and say that maybe we should curtail any more harassing of this guy to the extent that it's going towards.

The administration of this site has requested that no personal information be posted about anyone other than yourself. Not trying to be a scrooge here.....just reminding everyone so they keep it from going too far. This thread is looking eerily familiar to the "DW Duke" fiasco. Some of you may remember that one. I think that this thread is about to be locked soon or just deleted by an admin.

With that said, I offer the following......

Ouch.

SOOOOOOOOOOO busted!

Regardless of caps lime green the f you's or how often this question has been asked a Turbo could be done on our cars shops all over have wanted to do it just none of the cars owners have wanted to sink the money into it. The computer isn't an issue to a real tuner only to someone looking to custom fab it themselves. After me and a friend spent some time looking over the engine bay, a top mount intercooler set up much like the WRX looks like it would work just an idea of course. A custom hood would need to be added but, it would make the pipe from throttle body to intercooler a short effective elbow moving the overflow tank to the battery location and moving the battery to the rear (old trick) would then leave the overflow bottle location open for the turbo. A short bend off the turbo would place the intake in the same location as the needs wings intake is at this point. The return pipe to the exauhst would follow the path of the prior intake until the firewall which it would then duct into the exhaust meeting of the two manifolds. This would keep the turbo above the pan and remove the need for an oil pump like the sts system. There's tuners already tuning our ECU's it would take some R&D once the system was in place to fine tune it but it's doable.

Google a word for spelling? the reply window has a built in spell checker, see the ABC in the top right hand corner of the screen.
Why look a little bit silly because you mis-spelled something and look even sillier because you failed to correct it when you had a chance.

For all those who weren't around a couple years ago.....I provide a quick summary of the DW Duke thread.

1.DW Duke joins forum and makes couple of quick references about Crossfires.

2. DW Duke makes outrageous claims he found a quick and easy way to just about double the car's performance, and is utterly stunned that nobody has done it yet.

3. Much ridicule is thrown DW Duke's way using the internet law "without pics it never happened".

4. DW Duke gets upset and says he'll NEVER tell anyone how he did what he "did" and would just blow us all off the road. Oh ya....it really is so easy I can't believe nobody's done it before.

5. Other people call this guy every name in the book, but somehow he's claiming I said it all and was blaming me for it.

6. Much more mud slinging goes on back and forth.

7. DW Duke claims he's gonna sue everyone who said anything about him, the owner of the website, the cable companies that allow the internet to work, the manufacturers of computers that are used on the internet, the sun for providing solar power to run the internet, Microsoft for providing an OS for making those evil computers work on the internet, and me for some reason.

8. MUCH more ridicule.

9. the posting of DW Duke's personal info, including his workplace phone numbers, full name, title, numerous personal websites, home address, etc.

10. again with more ridicule.

11. the thread being deleted by Julian (Mightyjlr) and a formal request and new forum rule that no personal information be posted on the site.

12. DW Duke being banned.

The end........unless someone else wants to add in their own fond memories.

All I really remember is calling the guy a tool. Somehow he was blaming me for everything everyone else called him. I forgot who that was.....maybe Infernoredxfire, I'm not sure. Someone speak up and help me out here.

I think that it's interesting that he disappeared from this thread after we started getting close to him. Watch out for this one (PM me if you want more than that)

Also hats off to all of you for keeping it a heck of allot cleaner than he did, and giving him good advice at the same time.

A word toy you young fella, a little respect goes a long way. I bet most of these "older" folks can drive circle around you. There is allot to learn in this world from people that have 2-3 times as long as you so far. This is just friendly advice, that I hope you can read and understand (if the admins haven't fire-walled you)

I am thinking of an Aero Blue SRT Roadster, but money is tight now, so I will have to wait.

Oh another word of advise - I can't type for S**T either, but I use FireFox, and it spell checks everything for me on the fly

More background on the DW Duke saga. Probably the most bizarre yet amusing thread ever to grace the forum.

DW "Daisy" Duke was challenged numerous times to provide proof of his performance claims but stonewalled at each request. He then offered to privately share his performance secrets to any interested member. This prompted a conjecture that the whole Duke deal was nothing but a scam.

The Dukester did threatened to sue everyone remotely involved after being called out on his claims. He (or maybe she, being "Daisy and all) then offered to drop legal action in return for a large settlement. After the laughter subsided he was never heard from again, at least on this forum.

I don't really care about DW Duke but STS has already said there are least two Crossfires with there turbos on the road. There are countless Mercedes from the past and present running turbos on there cars. That's the facts jack.

I'll take STS's word on this there a reputable company. I wish the owners would post there set-ups so the rest of could see them but if they're enjoying there Turbo Crossfires they likely don't need to hear people here tell them they don't exist.

What was it about you original post (#57) that you decided to edit it? Seemed harmless to me.
