Seat Covers
Because my seats are basically still new, and they are stiff and not all that comfortable when wearing shorts, I found a place to make sheep skin seat covers. I installed them today, they are very nice. Visit the link on my site for photos. http://www.billt.com/Crossfire.htm
My first reaction was "yikes", it looks like a 70s **** rug. But if they are comfortable and you like them, so be it. I have to admit they are probably more comfortable to sit on on a hot day when you've left the top down in the sun.
Has anyone ever used the " body glove" seat covers. I have a 2005 yellow roadster and my seats are in near mint condition and I want them to stay that way. These covers I'm looking at are $131 but look very good they're black and yellow which would match my car absolutely perfect since the top and interior is black and paint is yellow. None of the universal covers that the local parts store will work since the backs are so tall. But if any of you guys and gals have these or know someone who does or if you know a better product please give me a reply and lets know. I love this forum do much, yal have saved me a ton of $ and many headaches so again any additional info on seat covers that actually fit and look good I would appreciate it very very much. Special thanks to 180 and Mrmiata for helping me with a seatbelt buzzer/top problem is totally resolved and didn't cost a dime. Again thanks so much!!!

As for the sheepskin seat covers in general, it's an old school fix for hot leather in a convertible. They used to be incredibly common and considered a very classy fix for this issue on older Mercedes SL cars. Long wearing, cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Get a good set and I don't see a problem with them in these cars at all.
I bought mine at Costco about 3 years ago in the dark grey color for $35.00 each. The cardboard packaging had a picture of a black SRT6. A perfect fit.
