Living out of the Crossfire can be a challenge, but the old gals love it and at least I can steal WiFi wherever I go.

I'm sure no one ever thought a child would use a hairdryer as a bathtub submarine, but now we have warning labels affixed to every cord. Warning labels are simply printed tombstones advertising the 'freak accident' that some unfortunate soul had in the past. Which, at one time, was probably unthinkable.

Think about it... we have federal warnings on mattresses. How deadly can those things be?

Give dwight some wiggle-room. He knows his stuff. And he was simply trying to consider all worst-case scenarios for the OP.

I call that looking out for one-another, if you ask me.
I personally am a firm believer of letting the dumb ones kill themselves off. You know why you didn't see very many idiots around that were older than 20 back in the day? It's because they killed themselves off and those that didn't were just lucky but they were few and far between back then. Now, we have all these things to protect them so they can grow up and breed with other idiots and make more little idiots. This isn't me saying though that you shouldn't protect your youngsters but when little Timmy tries for the fourteenth time to stick a fork into an outlet, let him do it for god sake so he's not doing other stupid sh*t when he's 30+.

Verily, it seems the theories of Darwin have become muted in a modern society. That's why we have so darn many Democrats.

Back on topic...

Two beta testers are accounted for leaving one spot remaining to be filled. The following are interested in this setup when it becomes available for sale after all product testing has been finished.

1. jediracer
2. Mike-in-Orange
3. autumnmass
4. FP

Anyone else that I'm missing, feel free to add yourself to the list. This is not a group buy at this point, just getting names so I know who to contact when it's finished. There will be a group buy for the first units but it will only be after final product testing.

Let me ask you, Rudy, how easy/hard is it to install? Can't wait for the video.

5 wires all in the center console. If you're very careful, you won't even need to remove your center console to install it.

Cool Re: Quick touch convertible top switch

If this pans out, would you consider developing one for the Cadillac XLR? I am pretty sure I could coax one of the XLR Forum members in your area to do testing.

If you find me a car to work on and line up 5-10 people to buy them, I'm all for it.

Interesting thread. Love the bickering -- it's like the family dinner table.

Good luck with the invention. I have to admit that it doesn't bother me to sit with my finger on the switch for 20 seconds -- I run my top up/down so infrequently that I enjoy watching and listening to it. Besides, my last convertible was a TR6 and it took 3-5 minutes of running around snapping and unsnapping things, folding it back, putting the tonneau cover on/off....all the things that made you appreciate a "real" convertible from the olden days. (I don't miss cleaning the spark plugs every few weeks and fiddling with the Strombergs.)

Re "so many Democrats". I assume you mean that due to survival of the fittest, that other party members have started to die out? I bet their hypocrisy and greed got them.

I'd be interested once it hits production. I'm not that bothered by holding the button, I just think it's a cool mod!
