'05 Crossfire Roadster Book Price is up
Bought my 05 Roadster a couple of months ago and at the time wrote down the trade in and retail Kelley Blue Book values. Looked them up today and was amazed the trade in value is up about seven hundred bucks and the retail value is up about fifteen hundred books since I purchased mine. I found that amazing as we all know they usually continue to go down. I can't speak for Nada as I did not keep track of their values. Tom

It's my theory that convertible prices go up in the summer and down in the winter. Combine that with the XFs poor performance in snow, they become more desirable in May and less in November. That's why I bought my SRT6 in January after it had been on a lot for three months -- they were desperate to sell. I paid only a thou less than asking for the 2007 because I bought in August and it had been on the lot less than 30 days, but it was the color and low mileage I wanted so I was willing to pay a little more, not that $16.7 was bad.

You'll need to enter info about the car, model year, ZipCode etc.............

I guess this is a bit of comfort to one that still owes the bank....I think this latest uptick brings me back into the black....hypothetically. I cannot imagine the horrific life event that could induce me to sell my baby, but life has a funny way of dealing the unexpected. Company leaving Ohio for good, leaving me behind....will be out of work 6 November...and even that isn't enough to make me part with "Two Harleys".
Re: '05 Crossfire Roadster Book Price is up
yep, Harley's are hard to part with, and you can't get your money back there as well...I am not in the black on my XF...nor my Harley, but that is why they are toys...wasn't looking to sell them , just own them for a long time now...not selling, just enjoying till I'm gone....big decisions for the younger members on here, or those who bought just a daily driver...they will prolly lose money...what Harley's do you have, I have an old FATBOY...like me...

Wife and i took our 05 conv. to the Chrysler dealership that we bought the thing from last month to trade it in, Trade in value from them was $12,500. We thought that was kinda low for a car that people all the time tell us that it 's a hot looking car.
Re: '05 Crossfire Roadster Book Price is up
Over the years I have found Blue Book value to be basically useless to the consumer looking to sell or trade. The real value is to the dealer selling for Blue Book. This way they have a "guide" to charge you.
When it comes to trading a car in, all the choices are useless as the dealer will only give you wholesale value (or auction value) which is always lower than even the lowest trade-in value on KBB.
That said, it is possible to get a KBB (or better) offer. The two conditions I have seen are (1) the car is in very high demand and the dealer will sell within a week (or less). (2) The car they plan to sell you for your trade-in is either not discounted from MSRP or possibly even marked up. It is easy to give someone an extra grand or two if the other car is also an extra grand or two.
