Default Rear Side Marker Light

I give up. The right rear marker light is out on my '07 Limited roadster, and I can't figure out how to get the thing out to replace the bulb. I've read the owner's manual and the threads that cover it, and I know I'm supposed to push down and rearward on the front part of the light, but it doesn't budge, and I am loathe to start trying to pry it out. Anybody else experienced this or solved the problem?

Wrap a small flathead screwdriver with a microfiber towel and pry it out. You could also get a plastic wedge or a old credit card.

Take a look at this pic...

Notice one end has a tab and one end has a spring? I use a pocket style screwdriver and PUSH, not PRY, the lens to compress the spring, allowing the tab to come out of its slot. Very easy really.

James

PS Thanks Doc

I believe "Andrew" used a credit card. Made it look real simple.

Sounds like an excellent opportunity for a quick video tutorial. Anyone up for it?

Thanks to everyone. I did this just like you all said, and it worked. . .just like you said it would. Don't know why I was making it so difficult. Thanks again.

Thank you all,
I just replaced my rear marker light after ready this "how to". I suppose since it was the first time it was removed, it was a little stiff but it came out rather easily. CCard didn't work so i wrapped a flat head screw driver with some cloth and it just came right out.

Thanks again,
Senna

CrossfireForum.org to the rescue again. I knew I could count on someone here for an answer.
