I'm so envious. We are having the worst winter in 20 years across the Pond in the UK. The temperatures have barely got above freezing for 3 weeks now with the whole of the country under a few inches of snow.

 

Hmmm, I think that is bordering on abuse...many of us have our crossfires stored in the garage and have to endure freezing cold and tons of snow.

I am jealous, envious and yet still somewhat happy that someone is enjoying sun and wind in their hair!

Yesterday someone said to me that at least the days are getting longer now. What pathetic creatures we are to cling to such a flimsy thing to cheer us up. Why do I live in the frigid north?

Well until last night, our Junior Hockey team was excellent.
Congratulations Team USA! Great game.

 

Add a possible 6 to 9 inches of snow over the next ~24 hours - oh fun.

 

I guess he has to enjoy the nice days between the fires and earthquakes out there.

Every time the country is in a deep freeze Al Gore is nowhere to be found!

Not sure how freezing temperatures have anything to do with global warming. The truth is we are headed for an ice age... not warming. We should be so lucky to have warming!

 

My daughter just got to Camp Pendleton a few weeks ago from Camp Lejeune. The first thing she did was send me a photo of palm trees & blue sky, with the caption, "I'm so happy!" We'll be visiting her in SoCal, surely top down in the XF once it's back home from the body shop.

Pretty well socked in by fog today here in northern CA. Driving a fog-colored Nissan Sentra rent-a-car. It sips gas, goes 80 pretty easily (was reading the tachometer & wondered why 40 seemed kind of fast), but it's not my rocket in any way, shape or form.

For those of you in the new land of ice & snow, I'm so sorry.

 

CA = huge fires, mud slides, earthquakes
FL = under water in 20 years; hurricanes
AZ = no water

MI = Six short months of winter. So what if it is below freezing and we have to shovel snow every other night. It melts by May. That's why my other car is an Audi quattro!!

 

It was -16F here this morning. It's up to about 15 now.

 

Heard there was a 4.2 quake this a.m. At least it's not a tornado. At least you know the general vicinity of your stuff. And it's not frozen. I couldn't do it. I do admire all of you who know how to live & have fun in real winter conditions. What most don't realize is that winter isn't just December & January. It goes on & on & on.
