Default Can anyone help me identify this noise coming from my engine compartment???

Hey All,

I was wondering if anyone can help me identify this funny sound coming from my engine compartment? I'm not sure but I think that Rudy Compart (Accelerated Industries) and Rob Schoen (NeedsWings) had something to do with this! All I told them is I didn't want to be last anymore!

Hey here's another question; why don't we have have a section on this forum for V8 Crossfires? I really don't want to post this video of a 5.5 liter supercharged V8 in my lowly little Limited Roadster in that slower SRT 6 section! - LOL Just kidding!

Enjoy the video - oh and the sound blows on my camera - the ground actually shakes when Rudy gets on this bad boy

Oh and One last hing - Yellow Crossfires are the fastest!

Stay safe...

Respectfully,

Paul (MisterTaz)

I guess this means all the ordinary "NA" Crossfires have just been relegated to the 6th. rung of the ladder.

Way to go Mister Taz.

Couldn't agree more!!

Quite a few (V8's) on the forum now and a dedicated section would be great to post all the do's, do not's and lessons learned.

With the resale value of Crossfires going down - it won't be long before we see lot's conversions..

BTW - very nice job - would love to hear it run at WOT...

I think the look on Rudy"s face just about sums it up.

Good job Paul!

Thank you for all of the kind words. Yes it is only a 5.5 MB V8 Kompressor and yes we did look into the V12 but you'd have to cut the entire front end off. The manifolds wouldn't fit between the suspension. I can tell you that with the 5.5 in the Crossfire you simply don't want to drop a bolt in the engine compartment because it's probably not going to hit the floor!

As for the rear end; well we are going to have to baby it for now. We have ideas and that it is definitely in active planning right now. I can't say what "it" is but it will be part of Stage 2 later this summer. One step at a time my friends.

We'll be posting more pictures on progress in the coming days. More to come; by the way the car will be at Carlisle so if you want to see it live you'll have to be there...

Stay safe my friends...

Respectfully,

Paul (MisterTaz)
