Default 3 Years!

Can't believe it's been 3 years since I've gotten the Crossfire - I like this car! Still go out and just drive it - to no where for no reason other than to drive the car. Have had nothing go wrong in with it, haven't modded anything - probly won't. am now on my 3rd set of tires and now understand that this is ok. Still a bit pricy but have come to terms with it.
Can not think of a convertible I would go out today and get for what I paid for the Crossfire 3 years ago.

Drove my friends 2006 SL550 and yes it was more comfortable, had more room, could carry golf clubs but I'm not spending that $$$$ for a car, and not driving an hour and half to the closest dealer.

And while I am not on this forum as much as I used to be - I still poke in every week - and thanks to all of you out there that keep this forum going and thanks for all the advice!

Three sets of tires. How many miles do you have and how do you drive it? I've had mine 6 summers with 35k miles, am ready for a new set of rears. But the fronts are still 50% tread.

Congrats on the anniversary. 7/7 was our 3 yr as well w/our roadster... still love it!

We're sitting at just over 24K and I put new tread on last December at around 22K. (General Exclaim UHP's) Original Conti's were in bad shape... fronts were bald on the outer edges.. I thank 3 get togethers @ "The Dragon" for that and the rears had maybe 20% or so left on them.

47,000+ miles on original Contis. Will probably get at lest another 10,000 before I have to get rid of them. Also have original brakes too.

The Conti's wear a LOT better than the Michelins. My Michelins only lasted me 11k and I got the car new and I don't spin the tires. I've had my car for 5 years, just under 14000 miles and I still love it as much as the day I bought it!

Sorry Goldwing, but unless those as all season tires, you are in the minority.

Get out and push the thing a little, she was made for it

Got my Limited Roadster three years ago as well (7/18/07) and I'm also still in love. I've only got 13,000 miles on it as I bought it as a weekend toy. But I have to say, my daily driver was down for 3 weeks while I tried desperately to find the time to do a brake job on it (didn't help that my rotor supplier sent me the wrong rotors first time around!) so I was, ahem, forced to drive the Crossfire every day during that time.

I actually think I enjoyed it a little bit more every day, every mile, every dead bug on the windshield.

When I got the car the orginal Conti's had deep side wall cracks in them - so they were replaced immed. went with Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's - thought they were great till about 14,000 miles when they became loud almost screaming - keep them on for another 4,000 miles - at 18,000 mile they were totally bald - not uneven wear - just smooth as slicks - went with Goodyear again but went with aal season. That's 3

Have driven the car about 24,000 mile in 3 years - it's my daily car (unless it snows) but my commute is .6 miles a day.
