That was actually were i live, upstae N.Y. Don,t remember that story on the local news. Really odd since lightning storms are kind of rare around here. I don.t drive my roadster in the rain so i,m not concerned

Hmmn...

Since you live in Kansas, and you are planning on heading up to 12k feet, then that means you're most likely coming over here to Colorado.

Honestly, don't worry about getting hit by lightning.
It happens, but its a rarity.

Worry more about getting hit by another stupid driver.
Especially if the weather is clear, traffic is light, and the road is straight.
That happens all the time.

Yep, Estes Park and around. I guess you're right...every car coming toward you is a potential jolt.
