Lucky for you as so many of these heaters have failed.
Enjoy them !!
I rarely use mine, but the wife sure likes them. I've been lucky with the roadster as they all work and on the coupe, the driver-side bottom does not, but everything else does. The heated seats are nice when you have the top down and its 35 out (yes I have done this). It keeps you nice and somewhat toasty.
I use mine as well and thus far, they are working (fingers crossed). Definately nice with these cold days. I hate driving with my jacket on so having the seats heated up to keep me warm until the heater kicks in allows me to shed the jacket before entering.
I've had heated seats in other vehicles as well and while they are great, they do fail and in my mind are way to expensive to get fixed (unless you do it yourself and even then the elements aren't cheap).

My wife (until recently) worked where she could initiate the remote start on the HHR from her worksite to warm the car up 5-10 minutes before she got off. Now she's not in that situation & really appreciates the bun warmer in the XF. Same with mine....in the teens last night when I left work.

Has anyone put a remote start on their automatic XF?

Interesting to read about the system working/non working And the warm seat is nice, but the back warmer is fantastic. It's like being wrapped in a warm blanket on a nasty day.
Should this heat component fail, I'm sure I will not replace or repair. Some decisions are easier than others.

Actually quite easy to replace. I plan on using Cadillac elements
If mine fail. Wired directly if I have to. The elements are reasonably inexpensive off market

Think the bumper to bumper warranty will cover it?

I live in the South, so can't be too concerned, but my seats (neither one) don't even attempt to heat up when I throw the switch. What's the first thing to check?
