Roadster Top Problem
I got caught in a downpour last night with my top down. I got it up as soon as I could and drove it home to my garage. I left the top half open so the car would dry out. This morning I went to close it, but will not activate at all. The red light on the switch is blinking...HELP.
a guess...
but is the shelf dropped down or blocked in the trunk area?
does the e-brake need to be pulled?
as you can see i don't own a roadster but try to assist.

Thanks, but I cannot get in the truck because the top cover lid is blocking it. Trunk will not open. I tried with brake on and off....weird. I had the flap shelf issue before, but it seems in proper position?

I closeD it mANUALLY WITH LITTLE EFFORT AND CAREFULLY. But like many postings here my spoiler will not function and my trunk will not open. I tried the 3 time ignition on-offs to reset the module as stated in the manual, but that did not work either. We got pretty wet putting up the top, but I don't think it was enough to cause this issue. No action whatsoevever from top switch.
Lets assume there is no rain damage or electronic issue for now.
If that's the case, after ten (10) minutes in a half open position, it looks like the top cover action is suspended and needs to be re-initialized.
Here's the sequence write-up, straight from the owners manual:
Top operation can be suspended for a max of 10 minutes. 30 seconds before you reach max, an audible beep will sound, and hydraulic pressure will be released.
In order for the Top to re-initialize the tonneau cover must first be moved and held in its full open position manually.
The Top then needs to be manually lowered and the tonneau top fully closed.
The hydraulic pressure can ONLY be re-established by turning the ignition key to ON/RUN and pushing down the convertibile top switch twice.

Thanks a bunch, I will try that. I gently lowered the top toneau to the locked position...it went easy. Then I locked the front latch securely...also easy. The spoiler top, and trunk still were not working. I will let you know how it goes.
