Default Winter/Summer Mode Button

I was wondering when the W or S button is activated if it appears anywhere on the instrument panel to let you know? Thanks

You just have to be aware of which position it's in. I think winter mode just eliminates 1st gear.

during the last snowstorm here in maryland i put my car in the "W" setting. and like dedwards0323 said it makes the car start off in 2nd gear. i didnt have any trouble at all driving in the snow and ice. just make sure that when you are back on dry roads to switch back to the "S" setting.

Actually it omits 1st gear and it changes the shift range (RPM) of the gears.
It shifts at a lower RPM, making it much easier to keep under you on ice.
