...came to an end today. Finally, we took the roadster out of winter hibernation for a top down spin at 66 degrees. Our first relatively warm day with the top down as we bought the car last November, basically just in time to store it away for the long winter. We had a blast and the car performed like a champ.

So, those of you that live in the north, how long was your Xfire hibernating? Not as long as mine, I hope, for your sake.

 

YUK! I sure hope that I never live in the north again. I about spazzed out when I had to go 15 or 16 days without driving mine due to salty roads.

 

Mine spent no more than 10 days in weather related hibernation.

I cannot imagine looking at it daily in the garage as having any useful fulfillment.

I put full coverage back on my Crossfire at the beginning of April. I've been able to take my car out about 3 times.
Traditionally, for over 30 years, I always use to wait until Easter Sunday before I took my cars out of storage.
I may resort to my old ways once again.
I really HATE Ohio weather, I really do.

 

In my neck of the woods the bears came out of hibernation two weeks ago and so did the roadster. Even took a 100 mile detour to the gas station with the Gold Wing. This week the cranes, ducks and swans are flying to their nesting grounds. Fifteen and a half hours of day light with more to come in the land of the midnight sun.

 

Parked mine in late Sept. and it is still sitting in the garage. Will take it out in the next couple of weeks if it doesn't snow again. I'm still waiting for my street to be swept up of all the salt and sand.

 

I wanted to thank you for you gallery pics. I'll likely never get it there but, it is nice to see my car with an Alaskan backdrop.

Longest mine sat in the garage between runs was 21 days throughout the past winter.
Never took it out when the roads were wet and it never got dirty when I did take it out

 

that's gotta suck.

 

I had mine in right after Thanbksgiving this year, then out the 10th of March. Couldn't stand it any more. LOL! Had the bike out twice only yet. This Spring has really sucked

 

Bummer........ Longest mines has been in the garage is 24 hrs. I had just washed and waxed her and it actually rained one day. Top is down 3-4 times a week.

 

Florida people....it jus' ain't right.

 

She gets tucked into bed early November and doesn't get from under the covers till end of April early May. Yes, it sucks!

 

Mine came out of storage yesterday and had been sleeping since Thanksgiving weekend. Of course, now it is going to rain all this week.

 

Suspended the insurance November 1st. Re-insured it last Saturday, first wash and driving this weekend! As well, I discovered the Husky near our new place carries 94 octane.

I think that works out to ~172 days?

 

Like brianm929, both of mine came off the road in mid-November and the SRT6 went on two weeks ago and the roadster goes on this weekend. This is Michigan and we had 2" of snow last Wednesday. Yeah, it sucks to not be able to drive them but it keeps the miles down and I have a great Audi A6 2.7T MT6 to drive all over in the winter. I'll take winter and cold over hurricanes, tornadoes, mud slides, fires, and earthquakes any day. And the tree pollen ain't too bad here either!

 

Just bought mine earlier this month...but have only been out in it 3 times. Weather here in NH has been normal for April... it snowed on Saturday and we took the Roadster for a ride Sunday..it was almost 70! Just got done my last snowmobile ride 2 weeks ago. I put mine away in early dec and put it back on the road 17 Mar...thats the day I bought her in 08. I dont mind driving it now in bad weather but this stupid New England rain wont stop! My cart looks like crap all the time anymore. Just dying for the nice weather when I can go a good week on one car wash

 

That many hours with the sun would drive me nuts....because I would want to never work just so I could be out driving.

For the record, I'm similar to Franc (only nicer) in that I drive mine all year. Naturally when there is snow, ice, hail or severe thunder storms I leave it parked inside. Today we had sun and very pleasant temps so I had the top down. More storms tonight into tomorrow, so it will be Ford Ranger time again.

 

I'd go ape-$hit if i had to go without driving my XF for that amount of days. We had a dry winter and spring which meant a lot of coupe-on-road time for me. I even managed to get a few days of roadster time in this past winter/spring. However, we are due to get some snow this evening.
