Default Air Compressor/Multi Function Tool missing

I got my brand new used 07 Roadster home and was checking it out before I had to leave for work and I notice the air comp and multi functin tool were not there. I called the seller to let them know they were missing. I hope they have them and forgot to put them in the car. If not I am sure they will cover the cost of replacement. Dealer can order the comp $190.00

He does not have a P/N for the multi purpose tool. Anybody know the P/N or where I can pick one up and what the cost is.

I will up date on my Rodster once I get the title and get it registered at DMV maybe next Thur. In the mean time I will be detailing and going over it with a fine tooth comb.

Multi function Tool
Chrysler part #5140795AA
MB parts #A 193 899 03 80 or
#A 193 899 02 80

They cost, you'd better sit down ...... $50 to $75 at the dealer, much less on eBay.

You really do not need one as a screwdriver and a thin wrench of the same size (10mm?) will do the trick.
Someone was selling the whole compressor kit here the other day, maybe he sold you the car.
Edit
It was on ebay, sorry.

Here is the one, what an a** to do something like this.

RARE unused air compressor Chrysler crossfire original - eBay (item 290581552618 end time Jul-02-11 17:53:47 PDT)

I have asked the seller twice about the expiration date, he claims there is none.

As for the multifunction tool, sometimes they can hide in the bottom of the bag hanging between the seats.

I have the can of liquid but no comp. So its not my seller. She was the best seller I ever worked with. Drove over 40 mile to pick me up to her house, put a full tank of gas in the car. I believe she will honor the missing items.

Dson't use the sealant unless you absolutely have to. It will foul your TPM's.
Best get a tire patch kit from Auto Zone. About $6 and stowe it in the boot.

I used mine to patch a hole 3/8" in diameter. Then pumped the tire full and drove 240 miles to the Dragon and ran it twice before driving 650 miles back home to St Louis, and replacing the tire.

Hard on the spinchter muscles yes, but possible to do.

And My TPM's still function.

You talking about a plug kit?

I use a product called Ride-On in my Motorcycle tubless tires. I got a nail one day and did not know about it untill I had the bike up to change the oil and saw the nail. Never lost any pressure. I let it go and watched the pressure and 5K later when I change the tire the mechanic sail I had a nail in my tire but the head was gone on the outside.

I will contact the company and see if it causes problems with the TPMS. If not I plan to put in all my tires just in case. Tire Sealant | Puncture Repair | Flat Tire Repair | Tire Protection Systems for Motorcycle, Automotive, ATV and Heavy Equipment - Ride-On

I will see the seller next week when the title comes in to the bank and they sign it over to me and see what she wants to do about the comp and missing multi tool.

Go ahead and contact 'the company' They will tell you whatever sells their product.
But folks here will tell you, don't use it unless you absolutely must.

Jus' sayin.

I don't think that I ever checked there for that tool. I don't have one that I know of and so far haven't missed it.

You should also check to be sure you have the eye bolt as well, you will need this if/when a tow is necessary...PJ

Exactly. I was on their web site and they said if the TPMS manufacturer has a problem with tire sealants just remove it before repair of the TPMS. Yea right like I am going to go to a tire store and tell them to remove my tire and clean out the sealant and put it back together. I guess I will use it in non TPMS wheels.

To my knowledge, no one "repairs" the TPM's. Hell, they don't even replace the batteries in half of them.

Best thing, Go with the plug kit and never run on "baldy's"

OUCH! Called the local Chrysler dealer and they want 170.00 for the muti purpose tool. MD dealer can not find the numbers in the master cross ref list.

The seller said she never had a flat or ever used the tool. She just thought they were in the trunk. She is going to call the dealer that sold her the car and see if they will give her a replacement wrench. I doubt it since she got the car in 08 and they will probably say you should have noticed that is was not there in 3 years.

I may try a bicycle shop and see if they have an open end 10 mm wrench.

I thought I almost had it made when I went out to the tool box and found a collet wrench for an old hand grinder...it was thin. about 10" long but unfortunatly it was 12 mm.

$170
You could start a good sideline if you could find suckers willing to pay $100 each.
Here's a drawing of it for the members who can file. The part is 1/8" thick.

Here are the two variations I have seen, I gave one away.

I did not have one in my car, and never worried about it. One day, I saw a member post one for sale for $5, and I snatched it up. I would not be surprised if there were a pretty high percentage of owners that do not have one. And, of those that are missing them, I would bet that most do not even realize that the car came with one.

Old Salt,
Congrats on the new Crossfire! I may have just what you are looking for. A few years back I scored a spare air compressor and jack from a friend. I'm not sure about the multi purpose/function tool. I will check tonight and let you know tomorrow. What is your location?

I have the air compressor, jack dated 2004 and Tirefit/Tire Sealant packaged dated 041804 never opened. I know you have an 07, just trying to help.
