Default New to the car need some sound advice.

Ok heres the deal I was listening to music in my crossfire and the driver side door speakers started making a fuzzy noise then I slapped the door and the fuzzy noise stopped unfortunatley now the speakers play at a much lower volume then the passenger door, and will not hit for a bass note at all. I have checked the balance and it is 0 so thats not it and I was just curious if anyone has had this happen or could offer me some advice as this is really getting on my nerves, also its an 05 i believe if that makes a difference. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I would go to best buy and buy some new speakers.

I am no expert on this subject. Luckly I haven't had to mess with mine yet. I assume they work like most other cars out there and you can just swap out speaker for speaker. My old Nissan had speakers that each had their individual amps and they where a pain in the butt. I'm pretty sure they don't work like that though. Also if they're component speakers you'll have to ask the tech guys at the store which ones you might need as well.

Really though, any name brand is going to do you fine. Alpine, Rockford, Infiniti etc...

crutchfield.com allows you to build a sound system with only items that will work in your car. im sure best buy has something like that. also since you are in there replaceing speakers get some dynamat to give you extra insulation. or tell the people that will be installing the system that you want dynamat. its a little pricey, but it will make everything sound so much better. as far as speakers go im a fan of Alpine, all the cars that ive put upgraded sound in have always used Alpine. I have not done anything to the sound in my crossfire, i like the sound the way it is, but several people have and there are threads on this forum about removing the door panel and rear speaker covers. remember our cars have side airbags and they can be touchy.

Make sure you get 2 ohm speekers due to the amp in the car.
