Default Had car at dealer

Car went into shop Wednesday to have the seat heater repaired and the low oil sensor fixed as the light was on constantly. Got car back yesterday. Walked out this morning and there's about a quart of oil under the car and as I bent down I'm watching it drip off the skid plate. Call dealer, brought car right back. Thought they had just not tightened the drain plug but no...turns out the oil pan cracked either when they put it back on after repairing the sensor or while taking it off. Just got a call....about a week to get the new pan. At least they give loaner cars so I'm driving a 2011 Subaru Outback for the next seven or so days. Both repairs were covered under the max care warranty so I just had to pay the $100 deductible. By the way...brought the letter about repairing the top as mine fell in over the summer. They have no idea what to do so I asked the service manager to follow up but I doubt he will do it so I'll follow up with Chrysler next week when I get the car back.

AIG,

contact them and the NHTSA. There a couple of threads going about this.

Good luck, bub.

Dealer actually told me to bring the car to a place that repairs tops and then file for reimbursement. I pointed out the part in the letter that said the dealer is supposed to effect repair but really there is NO repair and that's according to Chrysler. They're supposed to replace the top but I don't think there are any to go around. I will call them when I get the car back.

AIG...can you tell me the Dealer that you are using.

I've been using SmithHaven out of St James, there is one Xfire Certified (Jimmy), who seems to know what he's doing.

But being paranoid about Dealers in general, I'm always looking for alternatives...LOL...

I use Grand Prix Chrysler in Hicksville. Their Crossfire tech is very good too and I was told it was a hairline fracture so it would be easy to miss. Bring my car there for major repairs and they're always done right. And I get loaner cars because I bought my Crossfire there. They are owned by the same people that own Westbury Chrysler and Garden City Chrysler.
